What will you be doing?
As Senior Manager Project Execution, you will oversee high-stakes projects while focusing on the development of your team. This dual-focus role combines project delivery with leadership, as you will guide and assess a team of eight junior and medior project managers. You will ensure team members receive the coaching and training needed to grow and perform at their best.
In addition to managing line responsibilities, you will ensure successful project delivery in a dynamic, multicultural environment. You will work closely with clients, internal teams at Vanderlande, and subcontractors to ensure customer satisfaction, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities:

Leadership & Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and assessments to a team of junior and medior project managers, fostering a high-performance culture.

Project Excellence: Oversee large-scale, complex projects, ensuring continuity, mitigating risks, and meeting objectives related to time, budget, quality, and safety.

Talent Growth: Develop internal talent through structured training and mentorship, reducing reliance on external hires while enhancing team performance.

Customer-Centric Approach: Build long-lasting relationships with clients, proactively addressing needs and providing tailored solutions.

Strategic Oversight: Ensure alignment between business objectives, customer satisfaction, and project execution.

Continuity in Large Projects: Drive stability and mitigate risks such as delays, quality issues, or cost overruns in complex projects.

Team Stability: Establish leadership and development pathways that strengthen long-term performance, employee retention and long-term team stability in the dynamic project environment.
Your profile:

Extensive Leadership Experience: At least 10 years of experience managing complex projects with a focus on team management and development.

Technical Expertise: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field and experience with IT/OT software integration.

Global Perspective: Proven ability to manage international teams and projects across diverse cultural contexts.

Multilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Dutch and English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.

Commitment to Excellence: Willingness to travel approximately 25% of your time and dedicate yourself to long-term client success.

People development: Intrinsic motivation and proven skills in coaching and developing new and upcoming project managers in your team.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €6.000,00 to €8.000,00 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale. On top of your fixed salary, you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:
