We’re a growing team, and as we scale, so does our need to focus on expanding our Professional Services team. You’ll be joining a people-focused company, and as a Director, Program Management. While managing a small subset of engagements you will also play an instrumental role in leading our N. American Program Management team to ensure customer implementation success, including overall budget responsibility, statement of work authoring, risk mitigation, profitability and developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships. Your leadership will support them in their mission of turning customers into fans during the onboarding and refinement phases of the customer journey. You will partner with your peers to ensure successful handoffs from sales to delivery and delivery to support with the joint mission to create an exceptional customer experience that drives positive business outcomes for the customer. 

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at project, program, and executive levels
  • Oversee the life cycle of multiple highly complex enterprise projects and/or business initiatives with high quality delivery, under timelines while managing customer expectations
  • Use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Build relationships and lead Program Managers, which includes coaching, training and educating teams, Programs (team of teams), and those surrounding the teams on the principles and practices of Agile
  • Help drive strategic goals, oversee technical and functional specifications, and generate and maintain detailed implementation plans
  • Be responsible for overall budget and profitability for your team’s programs
  • Be a proactive, extroverted bridge builder and a “that person” who understands how to foresee risks, define goals, plan for and relentlessly drive the execution of efforts to help teams meet cross-organizational goals under uncertainty and rapid change driven by exciting, evolving opportunities and challenges. 
  • Serve as the escalation point for your team of project managers regarding program/project management methodology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

THE SKILL SET

  • 15+ years of Project/Program Management experience running large worldwide complex programs in a fast-paced environment using traditional and Agile methodologies and delivering highly scalable and robust systems.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience in related field
  • Must be self-directed and a problem solver
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience managing teams, successfully resolving complex business and application problems in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and leading other Program Managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships with executives and project teams, both internal and external
  • Expert knowledge of Software Implementation Methodologies.
  • Provides professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day-to-day program activities.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with Agile methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management Software Tools, such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheets and JIRA
  • Proven record of managing large project budgets and profitability
  • Pricing experience not required, but desirable
  • Weekly travel requirement is up to 50%, within the United States with occasional international travel as required
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Work well under pressure
  • PMP certification, ITIL or CSM are desirable

The national minimum salary is $173,500 a year + bonus and benefits. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
