Senior Manager, Product - Payments Strategy – New York, NY
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager or Payments Product Strategy to join our team and drive strategic planning, execution, and operational excellence across our payments ecosystem. This role blends product thinking with business operations to ensure our payments platform and global network of integrations is optimized for performance, scalability, compliance, and customer value.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Partnerships, Engineering, Finance, Regional Business Leads, Compliance, and external partners to define our payments strategy, support roadmap execution, and continuously improve operational performance across global payments.
This is a strategic and operational role that will help the payments funds-in organization effectively plan and prioritize their development roadmap, while maintaining progress towards the organization’s measurable goals. This role requires a candidate with strong accountability in a complex and evolving environment. Cross-functional communication and management skills at the senior stakeholder level are paramount.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and refine the payments product strategy across key markets, channels, and use cases (e.g., cards, A2A, wallets, bank transfers, real-time payments).
Identify market trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies to inform strategic priorities.
Support business cases for new payment methods, corridors, or network enhancements.
Partner with Product and Partnerships to align roadmap execution with operational and compliance needs.
Track key performance indicators (e.g., approval rates, transaction costs, dispute ratios) and lead initiatives to improve payment success rates and reduce cost per transaction.
Drive the design, creation, and distribution of monthly and quarterly business readouts to Executive Leadership (e.g., Monthly Business Reviews)
Drive collaboration internal functions to operationalize payment products end-to-end.
Develop and maintain operational playbooks, SOPs, and risk mitigation frameworks.
Lead efforts to streamline payment-related processes (e.g., settlement, reconciliation, chargeback handling).
Role Requirements:
8+ years of experience in product, portfolio, program, or strategy role within the financial technology industry, preferably with payments domain focus
Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, economic, or related field.
5+ years experience in payments, product strategy, fintech operations, or consulting.
Deep understanding of the global payments landscape, including cards, ACH, real-time payments, wallets, and cross-border rails.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and drive complex initiatives.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience using data to drive decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, a robust technological background, and an understanding of business processes.

Salary
The base salary range is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
