Anaplan is looking for a passionate Senior Manager, Product Management to help drive the development of our next generation Planning and Decision Excellence platform. This person will be based in India and be instrumental in the execution of our product strategy, with line management of Product Owners as well as Hands on Product Ownership. The role will focus on the Platform elements specifically Administration, Permission Management, Tenant Management, and Analytics areas of the Anaplan Platform.

Applicants should have a Product Ownership background with Line Management experience and ideally relevant experience with Anaplan or other equivalent enterprise SAAS solutions. Applicants would bring experience working with engineering teams to deliver products and solutions to the market, they would have to demonstrate that they will be able to learn a new market and understand the needs of our customers related to the management of SAAS platform for large enterprises.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Line Management of several Product Owners
  • Work with the existing product team to define and drive the vision and roadmap for Platform Management features in Anaplan.
  • Work with the Product leadership, UX, Engineering and other cross-functional teams on roadmap and capacity planning
  • Work closely with engineering leaders and teams to execute on day-to-day development.
  • Understand the market for Enterprise Software in general and Anaplan specifically. Be the voice of the customer while understanding the competitive Landscape. Be able to define and segment users of the Anaplan platform qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Drive end-to-end experiences: writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria, working with UX to create prototypes for usability testing and research, working with engineering, documentation, support, and marketing to deliver quality experiences.
  • Effectively collaborate across global teams to create alignment between engineering teams and other product stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS


  • Experience of Line Management of Product Owners/Product Managers
  • Excellent leadership skills – understand how to balance inputs, lead teams, prioritise, and make data-driven decisions
  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner/Manager in a technology-driven environment, preferably with experience in SaaS or enterprise software companies.
  • Strong understanding of IT Governance, Separation of Duties, and the expectations of Enterprise IT and Security Teams with respect to SAAS Platforms.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization practices in Enterprise IT (e.g. RBAC, Service Users, SSO, SAML, SCIM).
  • Strong understanding of typical API usage patterns within Enterprise IT
  • Domain knowledge of Anaplan solutions if possible
  • Strong understanding of the product management lifecycle and launching new products
  • Proficiency in gathering and analysing market and customer insights.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience in creating enablement documentation including technical & support style documents
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery
  • Highly analytical and able to troubleshoot issues quickly; candidates should be able to go from high level to low level very easily
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Able and willing to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
