Base Compensation Range: $154,500 – $193,250
*In addition, you qualify for:

  • Annual bonus opportunity of 17% based on company performance
  • Annual equity award of $17,500

This position supports Mesa's Agena Bioscience business. Agena Bioscience® empowers research laboratories worldwide to deliver scalable targeted genomic data. Our open, advanced platform, the MassARRAY® System, provides researchers with insights through a highly multiplexed solution in the areas of mutation profiling, liquid biopsy, pharmacogenetics, and more.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Product Management is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that effectively position the company’s products in the market. Lead a team of professionals, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and play a key role in driving revenue growth and customer engagement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement product marketing strategies that align with business objectives and market demands.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.


Product Positioning and Messaging:

• Create compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.

• Develop sales enablement tools and training materials to support the sales team.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with product management, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on product goals and marketing strategies.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns.


Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.

• Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and support.


Performance Analysis:

• Monitor and analyze product marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Prepare and present reports on marketing initiatives and their impact on business objectives.


Customer Engagement:

• Develop and implement customer engagement strategies, including webinars, events, and online content.

• Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.


Budget Management:

• Manage the product marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.


Additional Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market plans across product lines, ensuring alignment from product strategy through commercial launch
• Partner closely with product management to translate market insights and customer needs into product requirements and business cases
• Drive integrated marketing efforts across demand generation, regional marketing, and product marketing to support revenue growth and market expansion
• Identify and execute opportunities to expand into adjacent markets and increase adoption of existing products
• Serve as a key liaison across Sales, Scientific Affairs, Customer Support, and Marketing to ensure alignment on priorities, messaging, and execution
• Oversee pre-launch planning and readiness activities to build market awareness and demand ahead of product introductions
• Lead cross-functional coordination for product launches to ensure consistent execution across all channels


Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

•Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in product marketing, with a track record of successfully launching and positioning products.


Knowledge & Skillsets Required:

• Strong understanding of marketing principles, market research, and competitive analysis.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and data analysis.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.

• Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.

• Creative thinker with a passion for customer-focused marketing.

•Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies across multiple products or regions
•Demonstrated ability to partner with product management and influence product development through market insights
•Experience leading integrated, multi-channel marketing initiatives tied to measurable business outcomes
•Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals
•Ability to leverage data and market insights to inform strategy, prioritize initiatives, and improve performance

Physical Demands (US Only):

• Sitting: Often for extended periods at desks or meetings.

• Standing or walking: Occasionally for meetings or office tasks.

• Using computers: Typing and using office equipment.

• Lifting: Light, less than 10 pounds.

Environmental Conditions:

• Workspace: Climate control (air conditioning or heating) to ensure comfort.

• Lighting: Adjustable lighting to reduce eye strain.

• Noise Levels: The noise level is moderate, with occasional interruptions from phone calls and conversations.
