Job Description
The Sr. Manager, HR Product Management is a key leadership role responsible for setting the vision and driving the development of HR product solutions that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating across various departments, including HR, Product, Engineering , and business units, to deliver high-quality, innovative HR products that align with the company's strategic goals. This is a highly visible and critical role to Nordstrom, and the ideal candidate will have a balance of business and technical acumen as well as a demonstrated ability to deliver value iteratively while making meaningful progress on north star initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Vision and Strategy:
- Develop and manage strategies related to HR product solutions
- Ensure alignment on priorities and direction by partnering with other groups, stakeholders, and leaders
- Evangelize the HR product vision across the organization
Product Development:
- Partner with UX, Research, and Engineering on feature design and development
- Develop testing plans with analytics where appropriate
- Drive ownership of features and services throughout the product lifecycle for cross-channel employee experiences
Collaboration and Influence:
- Influence and engage with leaders at all levels of the organization from C-Suite to front line leaders to ensure alignment of Technology outcomes with our corporate objectives
- Collaborate with peers and leaders across the enterprise to solicit needs, define vision, and ensure outcomes align with enterprise priorities and goals
- Actively coach the team to look at old problems in new ways across functions and domains
- Ensure cross-organizational alignment and bridge the gap between technical and business language
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay close to industry best practices and broader company strategy to serve as an area subject matter expert
- Maintain a strong understanding of available technologies and apply technology solutions to improve efficiency and benefit employees
- Evaluate processes and provide input into driving better ways of working within product management and cross-functionally
Team Leadership:
- Hire and develop an efficient and effective team that meets the needs of the product management strategies
- Support the growth and development of Product Management skills within a team with varying levels of Product Management experience
- Inspire and lead strong teams, fostering a culture of partnership and innovation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience with 3+ years of management experience, specifically in product management with a retail or e-commerce company preferred.
- HR domain experience, ideally with depth in HR systems including Workday or employee engagement solutions.
- Depth of experience working with and delivering insights from complex data sets.
- Experience successfully delivering and evolving user-facing solutions.
- Experience both building and buying (including implementing) complex technology solutions, with a proven track record of leading build vs. buy decisions.
- Ability to operate within ambiguity and drive alignment across organizations.
- Experience with domain-driven design and working backwards product methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills both up and down the organizational hierarchy.
- Technical background and understanding of Agile methodology and software development principles.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with data privacy controls and regulations pertaining to
- Ability to define, measure, and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Proven ability to inspire others and manage strong teams.

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $162,000 - $297,000 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
