The Pricing Strategy and Revenue Management Department supports our franchisees to maximize their revenue potential by providing them with technology, analytics, tools, and processes to drive optimal pricing and promotional rate decisions. As a key member of the Pricing Strategy and Revenue Management Department, you will provide thought leadership and drive our roadmap for the state of the art of Pricing and Revenue management technology, collaborating with other Center of Excellence cross-functional groups such as marketing, Loyalty, Technology, etc.,

Your Responsibilities

Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of revenue management systems across brands and segments.

Direct the development of product roadmap and rollout of new features to support pricing optimization needs across brands and drive best practices in revenue management.

Manage relationships with system vendors and service providers, oversee contract negotiations, performance evaluations and issue resolution.

Lead a talented group of analysts to analyze revenue performance across segments, and technology deployed to aid hotel level performance.

Develop and deliver training programs for users to ensure effective utilization of systems and tools.

Lead day-to-day execution of commercial strategic priorities to increase hotel room revenue and profitability, including creating business cases and collaborating with other leaders in the organization to drive change.

Own the management, enforcement, and evolution of the rate parity program to ensure proprietary channels stay competitive.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
-
Bachelors in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience required. MBA a plus.

Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Revenue management systems (such as IDeaS, Duetto, Rainmaker etc.,) and Revenue Management practices is required

Experience in Revenue management analytics, pricing, strategy, product management is a plus.

Knowledge of pricing, promotion, and revenue management principles and concepts including microeconomics, pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and distribution channels

Strong initiative, organization, communication, teamwork, collaboration, and analytical skills

Able to apply high level critical thinking skills to understand and solve complex problems having multiple complex variables, and to work across departments and disciplines to design solutions.

Ability to demonstrate initiative, persistence, and resolve in creative problem solving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Possess basic project management skills, including organization, planning, budgeting (time & cost), scheduling, tracking, and reporting

Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and prioritization; applies good judgement to manage several projects simultaneously, and seeks direction from supervisor when conflicting priorities arise

Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build positive relationships, exhibit and earn trust

Experience with franchising businesses in a global environment a plus.

Understanding of hotel industry standard metrics and related reports is required

Proficiency in SQL, Tableau and a demonstrated interest in analytics are required.
Your Team
This is a leadership role that will report to the Sr Director of Pricing Analytics and RM technology. You will have 2-4 direct reports and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $139,604 to $152,589 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
