We’re looking for a strategic, media-savvy communications professional to join our growing Marketing organization. As Senior Manager, PR & Communications, you’ll own Empathy’s media relations and partner-facing communications, working closely with our Communications Lead and broader marketing team to amplify our voice across channels, strengthen relationships with key reporters, and elevate Empathy’s position as a category-defining company in tech and care innovation.

  • 7+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications, ideally across both agency and in-house roles.
  • Strong writing and editing skills — able to craft clear, compelling press materials and partner communications.
  • Experience managing cross-company announcements and co-marketing PR with clients or external partners.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with media and securing impactful coverage across business, tech, and vertical outlets.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving workstreams.
  • Deep understanding of storytelling, positioning, and brand voice in a high-growth, mission-driven tech environment.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally across marketing, design, and leadership teams.
  • Familiarity with digital health, HR tech, insurtech, fintech, or the broader benefits ecosystem is a plus.

The salary for this position ranges between $120,000 - $143,000 which includes base salary. This is decided based on many factors, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, we are proud to offer stock options in the company and a competitive benefits package.
