The PositionAre you passionate about using the power of communications to drive policy change?
We are looking for a (Senior) Manager Policy Communications who thrives at the intersection of public policy and communications —someone ready to translate complex policy challenges into compelling narratives that influence global stakeholders and shape the future of our operating environment.
The Policy Communications team is part of Roche’s Group Communications’ External Engagement Center of Excellence.
Your opportunitiesDesign and deliver impactful integrated communication and public advocacy strategies in support of Roche’s policy goals (Corporate, Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics) including via digital communications, thought leadership activities, media and third party engagement
Collaborate with Roche’s Swiss External Affairs and Communications teams to deliver policy communications for Switzerland
Build public narratives and develop external messaging on key policy topics
Monitor issues and ensure communication preparedness across key policy topics
Provide strategic communications counsel on policy strategies and execution
You have a Master’s degree from a leading university in political science, history or international relations, as well as public affairs and/or communications experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally including experience in topics related to the Swiss political and healthcare system. You bring experience in the healthcare industry, possess excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable working in a matrixed and multicultural environment.
Additionally, you bring the following skills and competencies:
5+ years of experience in policy, public affairs or communications, demonstrating strategic thinking and the ability to create and implement communication strategies on complex external topics.
Ability to prioritise a high workload, and adapt to changing requirements
Business acumen with excellent writing, oral and presentations skills
Strong influencing and networking skills to build collaborative relationships in a global matrix and teamplayer
Excellent English and German writing and verbal communication skills; French is an advantage
Ability to travel up to 20% of working time
