Position Purpose:
Drive the effective execution of the P&O Communication and Enablement strategy, ensuring that the CPO’s voice, priorities, and strategic direction are clearly articulated, consistently positioned, and fully aligned with the Sandoz strategy. Lead the governance and lifecycle management of the P&O initiative portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, robust prioritization, disciplined execution, and full coherence with P&O budgets and enterprise financial targets. Create sustainable value by shaping and orchestrating an ambitious and credible ESG agenda, embedding ESG into P&O and enterprise strategies, and ensuring compliance with evolving global ESG reporting requirements (e.g., CSRD, SEC).
Build and nurture strong stakeholder relationships, enabling cross-functional collaboration, accelerating decision-making, and providing guidance through complex, ambiguous, and matrixed environments to ensure impactful delivery across the P&O and ESG portfolio.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
P&O Enablement
- Support Head P&O Portfolio & Strategic Assistant to CPO on critical P&O meeting preparation, follow up of key actions
- Partner with Communication team to develop CPO internal and external communications. Ensure CPO’s voice and priorities landed clearly. keep positioning consistent, impactful and align with Sandoz strategy
- Manage quarterly P&O newsletter including design, article consolidation and stakeholder guidance
- Lead the monthly Country Coordination Call and annual P&O summits
- Overall People & Culture Hub maintenance, training for CoE page owners
- Manage Travel and Hiring controls to ensure effective levers are implemented to keep cost within budgets. Develop regular reporting mechanisms.
Portfolio and Governance
- Oversee the P&O project and initiative portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and application of best practices in portfolio management.
- Review initiatives for risk, impact, and alignment, maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure governance structures are in place and adhered to, enabling transparency and informed decision-making.
- Ensure alignment with the annual P&O budget and financial targets.
ESG Strategy and Integration
- Lead the orchestration of all ESG-related aspects, including internal and external reporting requirements and the creation of a 5-year ESG roadmap.
- Ensure compliance with evolving ESG standards (e.g., CSRD, SEC) and proactively prepare for future reporting needs.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to embed ESG elements into their strategies and project agendas.
- Partner with the central Transformation Office to align and support the broader ESG agenda.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Actively engage with internal stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet business needs and deliver sustainable value.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders on strategic P&O and ESG matters
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Master’s degree in business discipline/ MBA is preferred
- Industry certification in Project Management is preferred, Certification in ESG Reporting preferred
- 10+ years of work experience in the field of human resources/ program management which includes strong project management / managing multiple senior stakeholders across various functions & geographies
- Management Consulting experience is desirable
- Proven experience in leading people and organization programs/ initiatives at scale. Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical and organizational skills. Track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization and consulting skills
- Highly organized, capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing competing requests / projects.
