The Senior Manager, Operations will manage all manufacturing resources and operations within a regulated Value Stream and is accountable for its P&L performance. They will partner closely with and influence all functions to optimization end-to-end Value Stream performance including; quality, compliance, customer service, capacity planning, talent development & engagement, financial performance, new product introductions and both manufacturing and business process improvements. They will also be responsible for directing and coordinating all the manufacturing operations for the area of responsibility.

- Drives continuous improvement culture and results by setting clear direction and expectations for Value Stream performance, structure, & business processes
- Establish continuous improvement performance targets, measure actual performance and take appropriate and timely corrective action if negative trends emerge for; product quality, customer service, capacity, lead time, labor efficiency, space utilization, yield, department spending, and business processes effectiveness
- Provide leadership direction to team on manufacturing process improvements to meet Value Stream and New Product Introduction quality, service, and time to market objectives
- Provide leadership direction and oversite to address obstacles, provide resources and interact with other areas of the company to assist Value Stream and New Product Introduction teams in achieving objectives and overcoming problems
- Collaborate with NV-Project Management Office and Process Development Department to ensure that all new products and processes are introduced into the Value Stream in compliance, on time, on budget and are born lean to ensure operational success
- Maintain and improve health & safety systems and promote EH&S compliant culture
- Partner with other functions to ensure all resources are competent to perform the duties assigned to them in compliance with the Quality Management System and business training requirements
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a technical or business related discipline. Masters preferred.
- 10+ years relevant work experience.
- 7+ years operations experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in medical device or a highly regulated industry.
- 5+ years leadership experience, preferably in an manufacturing plant environment.
- Proven track record and genuine interest in successfully creating and managing a highly talented, engaged and performing team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety.
- Demonstrated problem solving and process improvement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a culture of continuous process improvement and waste elimination that yields improvements to quality, delivery, cost and time-to-market using recognized industry Lean practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
