Summary

As a Senior Operation Manager, your main responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and ensure they run smoothly. You will manage teams, develop strategies to achieve organizational goals, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements. You will work to optimize efficiency, enhance productivity, and maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing budgets, forecasting, and working collaboratively with other teams to achieve common goals. Communication and leadership skills are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Scale and Optimize Operational Capacity: Lead the growth of the operations team by assessing system needs, establishing scalable processes, and implementing automation tools to handle increasing operational demands across multiple teams and locations.

  • Automation & Technical Integration: Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify and implement opportunities for automation, including system integrations, API usage, and continuous improvement of internal tools and infrastructure to optimize workflows.

  • Release Management & Continuous Improvement: Oversee the technical implementation of new product releases, patches, and updates while ensuring minimal disruption. Leverage agile methodologies to ensure iterative improvements and post-release support.

  • Cost Optimization & Resource Allocation: Drive cost-effective operations through technical analysis of workflows and resource utilization, utilizing predictive analytics and machine learning models to forecast and optimize resource allocation and budgets.

  • Quality Assurance & SLA Compliance: Establish and enforce strict quality control measures across operational processes, monitoring and reporting production KPIs in real time. Utilize advanced monitoring tools and performance dashboards to ensure compliance with customer SLAs.

  • Operational Systems & Process Engineering: Spearhead the optimization of operational management systems (e.g., ERP, CRM), leveraging technical tools such as process automation (RPA), data analytics, and business intelligence (BI) platforms to streamline operations.

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop long-term operational strategies in alignment with organizational goals, utilizing data-driven insights to forecast trends and anticipate market demands. Focus on both strategic and tactical objectives to drive efficiency.

  • Recruitment & Staff Development: Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and technical training of operations staff, ensuring they are equipped with both soft skills and technical proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.

  • Problem Solving & Technical Escalations: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex operational challenges, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques, database query analysis, and systems diagnostics to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Requirements and Skills

  • 10+ years in Operations Management or Related Roles: Proven track record of leading large-scale operational teams in dynamic environments, with a deep understanding of cross-functional collaboration and technical processes.

  • 10+ years Managing Remote, Diverse Teams (20+ people): Extensive experience leading geographically dispersed teams, including proficiency in collaboration tools, virtual project management, and cloud-based systems to ensure team cohesion and productivity.

  • Advanced Knowledge in Operations Optimization: Expertise in continuous improvement frameworks, with hands-on experience applying them to large, complex operational structures.

  • Technical Expertise in Automation & System Integrations: Proficient in modern automation tools (e.g., Robotic Process Automation (RPA), APIs, workflow management systems), with a strong understanding of how to integrate various technical platforms and systems.

  • Experience with Cloud-Based Tools & Platforms: Knnowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and SaaS applications for scaling operations, data management, and remote team collaboration.

  • Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams while communicating complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proven ability to leverage data analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) to monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and drive operational efficiency.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills & Multi-tasking Ability: Ability to manage multiple technical and strategic initiatives simultaneously, while ensuring continuous delivery and system uptime.

  • BS Degree in Business, Operations Management, or Related Field: A solid academic foundation in business or operations management, with additional certifications or experience in technical fields (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) being a plus.
