The Senior Manager, Operations role is a key leader within Donaldson’s growing Mobile Solutions organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic and operational initiatives that advance and transform manufacturing operations. This individual will thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment and contribute to building a high-performing, scalable organization. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Stevens Point, WI facility.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and transform manufacturing processes into a world-class, high‑performing operation capable of long-term, reliable production.
Attract, develop, and retain talent to support an ambitious growth trajectory and scalable organizational structure.
Prepare operational schedules and coordinate facility design, process development, process validation, and production activities to ensure products meet required quality and performance specifications.
Direct and oversee operations and maintenance activities to ensure facilities, equipment, and process designs meet customer specifications and are delivered within budget and timeline.
Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Plan and prioritize production operations, establishing development, validation, and manufacturing sequences aligned with business needs.
Maintain required programs and certifications, ensure ongoing compliance, and provide effective employee training.
Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures; observe employees and ensure adherence to established processes.
Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that enables all employees to contribute fully toward organizational goals.
Develop, manage, and monitor the plant’s operational budget.
Support employees and managers in resolving work‑related issues by evaluating problems and partnering with leaders and Human Resources to determine effective solutions.
Collaborate with supervisors across operational areas (employee relations, problem solving, goal setting, manufacturing processes, scheduling, disciplinary actions, equipment issues, etc.) to drive consistent performance and continuous improvement.
Travel: Up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or project management.
5+ years of management experience.
Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management experience on complex projects.
Working experience in ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification(s).
Proven direct and indirect experience leading cross-functional teams.
Experience working in a union environment is a plus.
