Why This Role 

This is a pivotal role at dss+, combining delivery excellence with strong business development responsibilities in a key growth market. 
You will lead high-impact transformation programmes while actively shaping and expanding our footprint in China, particularly within operational excellence and performance improvement.

Working closely with senior client stakeholders, you will help organisations unlock value through practical, sustainable improvements — while driving growth by building trusted client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Your Impact 

You will lead the delivery of large-scale transformation programmes while playing a central role in business development and market growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead consulting teams and manage delivery across multiple operational excellence engagement

• Build strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders across China

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, contributing to pipeline growth and revenue generation

• Support proposal development, client pitches, and strategic account planning

• Oversee project execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable client impact

• Coach and develop consulting teams, building capability and performance

• Contribute to thought leadership and positioning in operational excellence across the region

Who You Are 

You bring strong analytical thinking, a commercial mindset, and the ability to lead teams and clients in complex environments.

Experience

• Proven experience in management consulting with a focus on operations management, performance improvement, or transformation

• Strong track record in business development, including building client relationships and contributing to revenue growth

• Experience leading complex consulting engagements and managing teams

• Understanding of operational challenges within industrial or asset-intensive sectors

• Network within our core client industrial industries eg. chemicals, steel, manufacturing, energy etc

Capabilities

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability

• Commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert opportunities

• Excellent problem-solving and delivery execution skills

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Education & Languages

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred

• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for this role

Mobility

• Willingness to travel across China and internationally as required
