POSITION PROFILE

The Senior Manager, Office Print Business Strategy is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring that Ricoh’s Office Print strategy is fully aligned to both regional/global strategic priorities and the realities of and opportunities within the external market. This role serves as the central integrator, translating market needs, competitive dynamics, and technology trends into a unified strategic direction and targets for the Office Print portfolio. By aligning Region and Global strategies to actual market conditions, this leader ensures that business goals are grounded in opportunity, risk, and customer demand with specific actions taken and measured to ensure achievement of goals and targets.

This position leads end‑to‑end strategic planning, including defining market share targets, unit placement and MIF growth plans, and total lifetime value objectives across all channels. Once the strategy is established, the Senior Manager drives cross‑organizational execution, ensuring that Sales Channels, Supply Chain, Marketing, Portfolio Management, Strategic Pricing, Annuity Management, and other supporting functions take the coordinated actions required to achieve the defined goals.  This position also engages directly with global business unit leaders to secure support, including product development, funding, and global benchmarking, necessary to achieve plan goals.

This leader also validates technology and product roadmap requirements, identifies competitive strengths and gaps, assesses total addressable markets, and informs price positioning that supports sustainable growth. By orchestrating alignment and execution across the business, the Senior Manager directly influences both near‑term performance and long‑term annuity expansion, strengthening Ricoh’s ability to grow share and deliver sustainable results within the Office Print segment.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage market share, unit, MIF, and annuity planning to maximize Office Print performance across all sales channels, ensuring alignment with Region and Global strategic plans
  • Conduct comprehensive market assessments to identify performance trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics that inform strategic planning and commercial execution
  • Validate offering roadmap requirements, focused on commercial strategies, by translating customer insights, competitive analysis, and market opportunity into clear recommendations for product, program and platform development
  • Set price strategy with support programs designed to achieve growth while maximizing hardware and annuity profitability
  • Partner with Strategic Pricing, Portfolio Management, Sales, Finance, and Global teams to evaluate pricing scenarios, program ROI, and financial impacts
  • Align strategies across Business Units, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Portfolio to ensure coordinated business execution, effective product lifecycle performance, including inventory planning, promotions, and cross-portfolio sales 
  • Drive cadence and governance for operational planning, delivering transparency into performance against goals and ensuring timely course‑correction where needed
  • Create data‑driven insights, dashboards, and communication materials to support executive decision‑making and clearly report performance against established KPIs
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and market activation strategies with overall business objectives
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on market direction, pricing intelligence, and business performance improvement opportunities
  • Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, competitor strategies, and technological advancements that affect the Office Print landscape
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent business experience in business-to-business environment required
  • Proven experience in a business development, sales, strategy or marketing leadership role with independent decision-making responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong collaboration skills across a global business environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams in a matrix reporting environment
  • Experience in leading executive level discussions, both internal and external, to persuade action
  • Minimum of 8 or more years of business experience required
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales or customer insights marketing experience preferred

  • Expertise in Office Print technology, including print hardware, print and device management software, supplies distribution and service level management

Working Conditions, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level
  • Work has cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines, and daily stress due to the responsibility associated with the incumbents’ decisions, outcomes and potential outcomes
  • Work is mostly sedentary, but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weight less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.)
  • Requires moderate dexterity; regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools)
  • Requires periodic customer site visits whose locations may or may not be serviced by public transportation
