Reporting to the Director of Sales, HE, the Senior Manager of Sales, Best Buy is responsible for building, maintaining and growing all aspects of Samsung’s partnership with Best Buy. The incumbent is the trusted partner for Best Buy and advocate internally to socialize and actualize our mutual go-to-market strategies and tactics. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets, managing relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring the successful growth of Samsung’s portfolio of products.
The incumbent is the Key point of contact for all account activity including all internal connections with SCM/Mktg./Finance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, retail partnerships, brand management and product management with proven expertise in consumer electronics and a passion for driving sales and enhancing the consumer experience.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for selling HE products to the account, including but not limited to articulation of Samsung’s brand and product strategies, promotional planning, forecasting and communications to the Best Buy account and leadership team.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue, profit and market share targets for CE products.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key decisions makers at Best Buy, (including category managers, inventory planners, marketing personnel etc..).
  • Develop and execute tactical plans, manage budgets, forecasts, promotional planning and pricing.  Key point of contact for all account activity incl. internal connections with SCM/Mktg./Finance.
  • Develop and grow Samsung Brand with Best Buy.
  • Collaborate with Best Buy on joint business planning, brand management, in-store merchandising and retail sales execution.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity and sales data to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Manage and implement business trade spend within BBY programs and management budgets.
  • Navigating the organization and partner with cross-functional team members to effectively drive key deliverables.
  • Manage weekly product forecast by model to ensure inventory forecast matches promotional calendar.
  • Make product presentations, both new product introductions and present product offering to customers and prospects as prescribed by the Company sales guidelines.
  • Manage a team of direct reports who manage the marketing and promotional activities for Samsung with BBY utilizing our MDF programs to ensure Samsung’s core message matches Samsung’s core message at BBY, including flyer, web, in-store and training communications. As well as manage logistic issues, reporting, GSBN, weekly sell thru reporting, monthly price match management, competitive analysis, communication, and training and initiatives with the account.
  • Coach & provide career development and stretch assignments for direct report.

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • University education preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products.
  • Key knowledge of the Home Electronics channel.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Retail and builder experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships are important.
  • Proven selling ability.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Possess business acumen and strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills; ability to translate KPIs and results into actionable insights and initiatives to drive top/bottom line growth.
  • Versatile in multi-tasking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in organizations: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct supervision.
  • Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments.
  • Be driven and results-oriented; acts with a sense of urgency without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Strong persuasive skills and ability to influence decision-makers and align stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Have a high-level of confidence, integrity, enthusiasm, and executive presence that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization.

Salary:

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $127,000 to $175,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.

The total rewards package for a Regular Full-Time employee includes variable incentive, savings matching (RRSP/TFSA/NRSP), extended health and dental benefits with spending accounts, wellness and well-being benefits, development opportunities, and other employee perks.
