We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Engineering to strengthen, streamline, and elevate CRA’s engineering operations. This role will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams—Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Engineering—with a strong foundation in mechanical design. The ideal candidate will drive standardisation, enforce engineering discipline, improve cross-functional workflows, and build scalable engineering systems that support CRA’s product, project, and manufacturing goals.



Requirements
  • Own and elevate CRA’s mechanical design and engineering output—ensuring all deliverables are on time, cost-aligned, production-ready, and compliant. 

  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to ensure seamless execution.

  • Translate process designs into structured engineering outputs including layouts, mechanical drawings, BOMs, and compliance documentation.

  • Establish and enforce design standards, release workflows, and BOM coordination systems.

  • Oversee simulation, virtual validation, and engineering analysis (e.g., FEA, DFM reviews).

  • Lead technical troubleshooting and support root cause analysis for manufacturing or site-related challenges.

  • Mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, and implement structured training and upskilling programs.

  • Support commercial teams with technical inputs for proposals, compliance documentation, and client submissions.

  • Contribute to R&D and New Product Development (NPD) initiatives aligned with CRA’s innovation goals.

  • Apply DFMA principles to optimise designs for fabrication, assembly, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.

  • Work closely with Production, Operations, and Fabrication teams to ensure practical and scalable engineering solutions.

  • Conduct pre-production design reviews and joint engineering–production validations to minimise rework and ensure smooth execution.

  • Align engineering deliverables with business objectives, project timelines, and manufacturing capabilities.

  • Build a structured, high-performance team with defined roles, accountability, and growth pathways.

  • Drive standardisation across engineering processes, templates, workflows, and documentation.
