The Senior Manager, Marketing, Portfolio & Innovation – Fresh Products is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Natrel portfolio by defining and executing innovation, renovation, and portfolio management strategies. This individual identifies growth opportunities, leads the innovation pipeline, and oversees projects from concept through commercialization. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, they ensure initiatives meet consumer needs while achieving business objectives. The role is supported by a Marketing Manager, Portfolio Optimization, who is responsible for product rationalization, portfolio simplification, and reformulation initiatives.

What you’ll be responsible for each day:


  • Define the Natrel portfolio strategy and develop long-term growth roadmaps based on consumer trends, market insights, and customer needs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize innovation, renovation, and portfolio expansion opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
  • Lead the end-to-end innovation pipeline, including business case development, stage-gate reviews, stakeholder alignment, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Mobilize and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate consumer, customer, and market insights into actionable strategic recommendations that support portfolio growth.
  • Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and innovation best practices to identify new opportunities.
  • Develop team capabilities and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

The individual who will own this role:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other graduate degree is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, beverage, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience in innovation management, portfolio management, product commercialization, or brand management.
  • Demonstrated success leading innovation programs from concept through market launch.
  • Strong business acumen with experience developing business cases and managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Solid understanding of portfolio strategy, product lifecycle management, and growth opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, communication, and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to translate consumer and market insights into business opportunities and drive results in a complex matrix organization.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
