Job DescriptionVisa Marketing Services is a revenue-generating business function that develops and implements end-to-end Marketing solutions for Visa’s clients across Asia-Pacific. We have teams in every market delivering client marketing and a Singapore-based Hub team supporting our 18+ markets across the region.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Automation Lead to lead the roll-out of our new Marketing Automation and Personalization platform, from market entry through profitable scale. This is a newly created role and you will be the domain expert and trusted advisor for our new Campaign CDP solution for internal teams and Visa clients.
What a Senior Manager, Marketing Automation Lead does at Visa:
- You will be the subject matter expert for the Asia-Pacific Marketing Services team on Visa’s new client-facing marketing technology platform (known as ‘Visa Marketing 360’ or ‘VM360’). This is a newly created role and you will be the expert and trusted advisor for this new martech solution, from market entry through to profitable scale
- Mastering the platform: develop deep expertise in how our marketing automation platform works including customer journey orchestration, CDPs, segmentation, event-based triggers, campaign automation, omnichannel messaging, mobile engagement, analytics, and data activation pipelines
- Championing the platform: serve as primary point of contact for platform operations, troubleshooting and escalation in Asia-Pacific region, articulate the platform’s value and attributes for different use cases, lead onboarding and training programs for new regional users and teams ensuring consistent understanding and adoption of platform capabilities and processes.
- Speaking the language of compliance and security: work closely with market teams and Legal/Privacy teams to understand local data regulations and be able to address client concerns around data minimization, PII handling, and security.
- Foundational technical knowledge: While dev/IT will handle integrations, you need to translate technical components (SDKs, APIs, events, data schemas) into business value for non-technical internal teams and clients, so you can scope realistically and brief delivery teams clearly.
To launch this to market, you will:
- Develop the offering: Developing the go-to-market positioning for Visa issuers and merchants across Asia-Pacific, including:
- Lead pre-sales: Scope client needs, design solutions, develop proposals, and pitch the capabilities to senior stakeholders (CMOs, heads of marketing and product, digital leads at banks).
- Own the pipeline and revenue: Manage your own pipeline target and contribute to practice P&L.
- Set internal standards: Build playbooks, solution templates, and best practices to distribute to our country marketing teams.
- Partner with delivery: Hand off implementations to our Global delivery team, ensuring clear briefs, realistic expectations, and smooth execution
This role is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Director, Hub Marketing Services.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science or similar
- 9+ years of experience with marketing automation platforms, e.g. WebEngage, Braze, CleverTap, Marketo, HubSpot, Adobe, Salesforce, MOEngage, Insider
- Experience in pitching or selling to clients would be an asset as this role involves client-facing discussions
- Basic understanding of API integration, event tracking (SDK implementation), and data flows.
- Can articulate how data is captured, unified, and activated – and speak intelligently to clients about data privacy.
- Knowledge of APAC data privacy regulations (e.g. PIPA, APPI, PDPA, etc).
- Understand PII, consent management, and data minimization principles
- Able to translate complex platform features and data concepts into clear, business-focused talking points for executives.
- Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Can move fluidly between strategy (why marketing automation matters) and execution (how it works).
- Financial and payments industry experience preferred
