Position Overview

This position can be based anywhere in the US.

Vantage Data Centers is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Market Strategy to lead the development of global and regional market analytics to drive decision-making across all of Vantage’s major geographic markets. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data center markets, developing key metrics and market trend indicators, and delivering regular assessments of market metrics to the Vantage global leadership team.

The role will lead the development of global market metrics that drive conviction and clarity on expansion priorities, reviewed with leadership teams on a standard cadence. The role will support the development of market entry and expansion strategies for new data center investments in every geography. This role will make contributions fundamental to Vantage’s growth and ability to deploy capital into strategic projects that are attractive to key customer groups.

Key focuses of the role include conducting data center market research; managing a repository of market metrics, delivering competitive analysis, developing structured data from customer intelligence, and tracking AI & cloud industry trends. You will partner closely with teams across all business functions to analyze key customer and infrastructure development data in order to develop investment plans critical to the growth of our global business.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead development of global market metrics that drive clarity on expansion priorities, go-to-market strategy, target customers, value proposition, competitive product positioning, & other market dynamics

  • Manage a centralized repository of market metrics and structured market data, and utilizing market data to draw new insights

  • Deliver global and regional market analytics to leadership on a standard reporting cadence

  • Conduct data center and cloud industry research, analyze regional market dynamics, and understand customer demand and growth patterns in order to identify market specific risks and opportunities

  • Partner closely with Sales, Site Selection, Engineering and Development teams to source market intelligence data and develop data bases from the ground up, manage tracking and development of key market metrics

  • Leveraging data analytics to monitor to cross-region data centers trends, report on key developments, and communicate changes in core metrics upward and across the organization

  • Drive development of new methods and systems to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of market analysis and strategy development.

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years experience conducting market research, developing go-to-market plans, and leading commercial assessments for digital infrastructure investments

  • Advanced knowledge of hyperscale cloud providers and leading AI labs, including products and services, and regional infrastructure deployments

  • Familiar with the data center market dynamics, including hyperscale growth patterns, go to market priorities, and infrastructure decision-making criteria

  • Basic domain knowledge of digital infrastructure, including colocation, fiber, power, interconnection, IP transit & peering

  • Strong ability to structure ambiguous problems and able to identify trends and metrics that should be tracked to address key business questions

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and effectively influence senior leadership decision-making

  • Travel is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $170,000 $180,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
