Position Purpose: Manages and leads both the Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) Sales Advisor team and Medicare Sales team, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures. Provides strategic oversight and guidance to drive growth for the MAP and Medicare Advantage plans, consistently meeting or exceeding annual sales goals and market penetration targets. Reviews and analyzes sales activities, operations, and forecast data for MAP and Medicare, identifying areas for improvement and alignment with strategic goals. Well-informed on industry trends, competition, and healthcare economics to maintain a competitive edge and strengthen market positioning. Builds and nurtures cross-functional relationships with internal teams across the Medicare and MAP lines of business to ensure alignment and collaborative success.

  • Manages the MAP Sales Advisor team and ensures compliance with applicable guidelines, policies, and procedures.


  • Meets or exceeds assigned annual sales goals and penetration of the MAP and Medicare books of business.


  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, and special events.


  • Reviews and analyzes sales activities, operations, and forecasted data to identify areas for improvement to align to goals and objectives.


  • Provides coaching and guidance to MAP and Medicare sales teams to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards and performance expectations.


  • Develops best practices and works to implement those based on local market conditions.


  • Maintains strong familiarity with competition, market environments, healthcare economics, etc.


  • Builds relationships internally with various departments and teams.


  • Serves as subject matter expert in growing MAP and Medicare product lines.


  • Submits reports upon on request and in a timely manner.


  • Provides education to community partners and member prospects.


  • Prospects, appoints and manages relationships to achieve production and profitability objectives for assigned markets


  • Manages sales activities for assigned markets and ensure Medicare product performance is consistent with the corporation’s business and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulatory requirements


  • Travels assigned territory to promote Wellcare Medicare Advantage and Wellcare by Fidelis MAP plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Communication, related field or equivalent experience required
4+ years experience in sales, communications, Medicare Advantage, Material development, Marketing, or related experience required
3+ years lead, supervisory/management experience required
CMS marketing requirement experience preferred

State Accident and Health Insurance Agent License Required

Valid Drivers License Required

Pay Range: $105,600.00 - $195,400.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
