The Supply Operations Department facilitates batch disposition and order management activities to receive and fulfill product supply requirements in a timely fashion, thereby ensuring patients’ needs are met. The Supply Operations Manager will use a data driven approach in working collaboratively with the department leads globally to identify and drive process / system improvements which support timely batch disposition activities to ensure planned product inventory positions are maintained. They will clearly communicate global supply operations performance and escalations to IOPS senior management through the various senior IOPS forums (e.g. manage supply) and any other management meetings as required. This role, with its global scope, will require travel to the US.

Within this role you will be responsible for managing a global cross functional milestone performance review process, using a data driven approach to identify and drive process / system improvements which support timely batch disposition and clearly communicating global supply operations performance to IOPS senior management

A typical day as a Senior Manager / Manager Supply Operations might include, but is not limited to, the following;

  • Analysing batch dispositions, performing data and works cross-functionally to identify and drive process / system improvements to meet key milestones of the batch disposition process

  • Understanding and escalating supply risks and constraints across end-to-end program networks

  • Reporting supply operations performance to IOPS Senior Management and clearly identifies where action is required to support performance improvement

  • Creating and publishing metrics to evaluate overall process effectiveness that drive positive results, getting to root cause and supporting annual IOPS objectives

  • Providing coaching to direct reports, including employee development plans, and fosters a healthy work environment where employees feel valued and respected

  • The position will require domestic and international travel

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Access Database

  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to motivate and lead a team and supervise and coach staff

  • A continuous improvement focus, with Lean/continuous Improvement knowledge

  • Experience with interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and disciplinary actions

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate details clearly and effectively

  • Strong business acumen and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail, are fact-based, self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure

  • Perceptive analytical skills and a data driven mindset

To be considered for this opportunity you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Science and 6+ years of relevant pharmaceutical / biotechnology experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
