The Team – Strategy & Transformation 

Join a team of talented professionals with deep business and finance transformation experience to guide clients through major transactions (M&A, carveouts, IPOs), new system implementations, and organizational challenges. We help organizations develop business strategy and execute on transformation initiatives in the areas of operational accounting, financial process improvement, financial technology enablement, FP&A, and transactions. 

Your Impact 

  • Lead teams serving clients in financial services demonstrating executive presence with C-level client counterparts, particularly in the context of Office of the CFO and CIO advisory. 
  • Provide expertise in buy-side and sell-side merger & carveout transactions supporting activities through end-to-end M&A lifecycle (e.g. Technology Diligence, Pre-Close/Day 1 Readiness, Post-Close Execution) 
  • Lead separation planning and integration planning phases by defining future state operational strategy, identifying value creation opportunities, supporting workforce dynamics analyses, identifying business capability impacts, and defining roadmap for separation/integration 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional client service 
  • Serve as a primary liaison between buyer and seller to facilitate critical operational decisions and manage accountability for all parties 
  • Facilitate change management for policies and procedures impacted by the combined business in partnership with subject matter experts in risk, compliance, and audit 
  • Manage systems impacts and aid in the transition process for the combined business, including managing systems migration, data transfer management process, and new system implementations 
  • Mentor high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment 
  • Coach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance review process 
  • Manage project economics including tracking project budgets, creating and delivering invoices, and overseeing accounting processes 
  • Understand client strategy and investment priorities and turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals. 
  • Lead internal offering development projects (pitch decks, BD toolkit, GTM plans), in alignment with firm and practice focus areas and strategy 
  • Support Directors and Partners in identifying, shaping and pitching projects to new prospects and existing clients  

Your Experience 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline 
  • 8+ years of experience helping companies undergo major transformations, including at least one of the following:  
  • Leading technology or finance & accounting workstream for a merger or carveout in a moderate-to-high complexity transaction 
  • 5 years supporting technology/business transformation initiatives for core business systems and processes 
  • Prior experience working directly with and advising C-Level executives, including experience presenting complex ideas and facilitating executive workshops 
  • Experience leading complex transformation engagements with project teams of 3-10 members
  • Experience coaching and developing junior team members
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master of Business Administration 
  • Progressive responsibility in managing client relationships and achievement against business development goals
