About the role: 

A Senior Manager Logistics at Redcare Pharmacy is accountable for leading and optimising large-scale warehouse logistics operations in  Sevenum, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-efficient fulfilment at scale. The role owns operational performance across multiple logistics areas, translates strategic objectives into executable plans, and steers productivity, quality, and service levels through KPI-based management. With responsibility for a large indirect workforce, the role ensures  a safe work environment, a resilient and robust people leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Success is measured through well-developed leadership structure that enables operational stability, achieving target productivity, cost metrics, high quality and safety standards.

About your tasks 

  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports and their leadership teams, ensuring effective workforce planning for up to 300 indirect employees.  
  • Lead end-to-end logistics operations across assigned warehouse areas to achieve quality, productivity, cost, and service-level targets.  
  • Own and steer operational performance using KPIs, ensuring timely corrective actions and sustainable performance improvements.  
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, labor regulations, and quality standards (including ISO 9001 and GDP).  
  • Collaborate on and lead logistics projects, including the implementation of new processes or operational concepts.  
  • Provide structured reporting and transparent communication to the (Associate) Director Logistics on performance, risks, and improvement actions.  

Qualifications

About you: 

  • A Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a comparable commercial qualification.  
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in logistics or warehouse operations, including senior operational leadership responsibility.  
  • Proven experience managing large operational teams through multiple leadership layers.  
  • Strong capability in KPI-based performance management and productivity steering.  
  • Solid understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.  
  • Professional working proficiency in English and German.

Skills Required
