Job Description:
What You'll Do

  • The Senior Manager, Learning Strategy is responsible for working with senior business leaders, business process owners and others in Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) and HR to formulate enterprise-wide learning strategy and to ensure successful execution of that strategy. This involves assessing complex needs and articulating what it will take to meet those needs in a scalable and effective way. The Senior Manager, Learning Strategy leads and manages a team of consultants and is responsible for coaching and developing team to execute on learning strategy, specifically developing job aids, system procedures and other related training. The role also partners with key change management users to track and execute the related changes. The role also monitors the effectiveness of the learning strategy by developing a Quality Assurance program
  • Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.


How You'll Do It

  • Articulate a comprehensive strategy for delivering on the needs of the learning portfolio to optimize business outcomes. Collaborate with business unit leadership, process owners, and others in HR to gain broad support for the strategy.
  • Oversee a team of consultants to scope and scale projects to deliver on the strategy. This means overseeing prioritization and business case development, needs assessment, and architecting the appropriate development solutions to drive intended business outcome. This also includes overseeing the analysis and reporting of effectiveness and quality measures across the learning portfolio.
  • Engage as a member of the Learning Strategy leadership team to continually improve talent and process in the Learning strategy organization. Develop standards and process that enable the leadership to effectively prioritize learning needs across Discover.
  • Drive continual improvement efforts to improve the ability of the learning in the portfolio to drive business outcomes, partnering as necessary with other teams in HR and Training and Development. Conduct external research and benchmark to stay abreast of "best-in-class" learning methodologies and surface ideas for ongoing improvement of Discover learning programs.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Business Administration and Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Learning and Development.
  • In Lieu of Education, 15+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Customer Service, Management.
  • 2+ years of experience in management.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
