WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Reporting into the Senior Director, Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) Jordan Brand Marketing, based at Nike’s World Headquarters in Portland, Oregon, this role will be based in Tokyo, Japan and works in close partnership with Japan Marketing, APLA Geo Marketing, and Global Jordan Brand teams. The Senior Manager leads and develops teams across Streetwear Brand Marketing, Sport Brand Marketing, Energy Brand Marketing, and Brand Creative, while collaborating closely with Merchandising, Marketplace, Integrated Retail Marketing, Digital, Integrated Media, Sports Marketing, Communications, Operations, and external agency partners to deliver integrated brand impact.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role calls for a bold, culturally fluent brand leader who will shape and accelerate Jordan Brand in Japan. The Senior Manager is a strategic and creative storyteller with a deep understanding of Japanese culture, sport, and streetwear, and the ability to translate global brand vision into locally resonant, consumer-led marketing. They bring strong judgment, thrive in ambiguity, and lead with clarity, empathy, and intent.
This leader is both visionary and operational — equally comfortable setting long-term brand direction and driving disciplined execution. They are an inclusive people leader who inspires teams, develops talent, and builds trust across functions and geographies. With strong influence and executive presence, they navigate complex stakeholder environments while delivering meaningful cultural and commercial impact.
- Minimum 8–9 years of progressive experience in brand marketing or consumer marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven senior leadership experience managing managers and multi-disciplinary teams within matrixed, global organizations
- Experience leading integrated, full-funnel brand marketing strategies across multiple channels
- Demonstrated ability to manage agencies, budgets, and complex stakeholder environments with strong operational rigor
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will own and lead the Jordan Brand Marketing strategy in Japan, driving integrated, full-funnel brand plans that connect culture, product, and storytelling. You will translate global and APLA priorities into locally relevant expressions, while guiding multiple marketing disciplines to deliver distinctive, consumer-led impact.

- Translate Global and APLA Jordan strategies into culturally authentic, locally resonant plans
- Drive annual, seasonal, and always-on brand marketing plans across digital, retail, media, and cultural platforms
- Develop, inspire, and manage senior marketing leaders and their teams
- Partner cross-functionally to connect brand storytelling with product strategy, marketplace priorities, and consumer journeys
- Oversee agency relationships, budgets, timelines, and operational excellence
- Measure success through brand strength, cultural relevance, consumer engagement, and commercial outcomes
Skills Required
