How you'll make an impact
As Senior Manager – Investments Platforms, you'll play a critical leadership role in shaping the technology platforms that underpin AMP's investment operations and services. You'll be responsible for defining and executing the strategy, governance and performance of a complex portfolio of investment platforms, ensuring they remain stable, scalable, compliant and aligned to AMP's broader business and technology objectives. Working closely with business, risk, technology and delivery stakeholders, you'll help drive the modernisation of critical investment capabilities while ensuring operational excellence across platforms that support investment transactions, reporting and pricing processes.
This is a genuine enterprise leadership opportunity where you'll influence both strategic direction and day-to-day operational outcomes. You'll lead the delivery of transformation, regulatory and business-as-usual initiatives, balancing competing priorities while maintaining strong governance, risk management and financial discipline. From driving platform modernisation, resilience and service improvement, through to supporting APRA and ASIC-related initiatives, vendor performance and executive decision-making, you'll make a tangible impact on AMP's ability to deliver reliable, efficient and future-ready investment services. You'll also build and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring to the role
We're seeking an experienced technology leader with a strong background in investment platforms, wealth management, superannuation, or financial services technology. You'll bring demonstrated success leading complex platforms and delivery portfolios, coupled with a deep understanding of investment operations, including unit pricing, investment transactions and reporting processes. You will have a proven ability to navigate highly regulated environments, balancing operational stability, risk management and compliance obligations while driving meaningful business and technology outcomes.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with exceptional stakeholder leadership skills. You'll have experience managing budgets, vendors, governance forums and strategic technology roadmaps, while confidently influencing executive stakeholders and driving prioritisation decisions across complex environments. You'll be recognised for your ability to lead teams through transformation, strengthen platform maturity, improve operational performance and deliver predictable outcomes across both run and change portfolios. Experience in platform modernisation programs, data platforms, integration patterns, Agile delivery and financial services transformation initiatives will be highly regarded
You’ll thrive here if…
If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you’ll do well here. Change is never easy, so bring your commitment, grit and growth mindset.
Because we run lean, you’ll be expected to jump in and deliver across a variety of areas. Meaning, you’ll be closer to the action and executive decisions that influence where we go next.
If you’re someone that can hold their own, you’ll find AMP quite liberating.
