Job Description

As Sr. Manager, International Business Management, you will serve as the business leader for Balsam Hill's Canada and Australia regions, with P&L accountability for both markets. Your primary focus will be leading the strategic transition from online-only to omni-channel retailing in these regions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and execute additional growth opportunities that drive revenue and profitability.

Reporting to the SVP of International, you'll partner closely with marketing, e-commerce, logistics, wholesale, retail operations, finance, legal, and product teams to enhance brand presence and business performance in these strategic markets. This full-time position is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in-office.

What you'll do:

Regional Business Leadership & P&L Ownership

  • Serve as the business leader for Canada and Australia with full P&L responsibility, ensuring alignment with revenue, margin, and brand goals

  • Develop and manage forecasts, budgets, and P&L performance at the regional level, balancing short-term profit targets with long-term growth investments

  • Define and track KPIs—including revenue, margin, conversion, CAC, and market penetration—using dashboards and analytics (in partnership with Data Insights and other teams)

  • Lead business reviews, surfacing key trends, risks, and opportunities, and delivering clear, insight-driven recommendations

  • Drive seasonal pricing and promotional effectiveness through enterprise platforms and strong cross-functional alignment

  • Guide direct report(s) and partners by identifying growth opportunities, leveraging strengths, and developing talent for broader organizational impact

Omni-Channel Transformation & Growth Strategy

  • Lead the strategic transition from online-only to omni-channel retailing in Canada and Australia, developing and executing go-to-market strategies across digital and wholesale channels

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize growth opportunities within existing markets—including new channel partnerships, marketplaces, and customer segment development

  • Drive a robust learning agenda by partnering with Consumer Insights and other data-focused teams, asking incisive business questions that translate customer and market data into actionable insights fueling strategic growth decisions

  • Build business cases and lead strategic decisions grounded in data, market insights, and operational readiness

  • Represent customer and market needs to influence product, pricing, promotional, and channel decisions across global teams

  • Drive cross-functional execution across ecommerce, marketing, logistics, finance, merchandising, legal, and operations to achieve regional and channel-specific goals

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years in international business management, omni-channel retail, and leadership in retail. Experience in e-commerce is a must have

  • Proven track record managing and scaling business performance in 2+ international markets, ideally including Canada and/or Australia

  • Demonstrated end-to-end P&L management, forecasting, and budgeting experience

  • Strong execution experience in omni-channel environments—successfully managing online, retail, and/or wholesale channels

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders at all levels

  • Cross-functional leadership experience partnering with multiple business functions

  • Strong analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and business acumen

  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability in ambiguous situations, even when data is limited

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
