The Senior Manager, Interface Management is responsible for leading the identification, coordination, and resolution of interfaces across projects, contractors, consultants, stakeholders, and operational entities. The role ensures seamless integration between multiple workstreams, disciplines, and packages to mitigate risks, avoid conflicts, and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project Interface Management strategy, processes, and governance framework.
- Identify, document, track, and manage interfaces between infrastructure, utilities, transportation, buildings, and other project components.
- Lead interface coordination between consultants, contractors, authorities, operators, and internal project teams.
- Establish and maintain interface registers, action trackers, and reporting mechanisms.
- Facilitate interface workshops, coordination meetings, and technical reviews.
- Proactively identify interface risks, conflicts, and dependencies and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate design, construction, and operational interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment between project schedules, milestones, and interface requirements.
- Support change management processes and assess the impact of design and construction changes on interfacing packages.
- Monitor contractor compliance with interface management requirements and contractual obligations.
- Prepare interface reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior management.
- Promote collaboration and communication across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in project delivery, engineering management, infrastructure development, or interface management.
- Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, utilities, mixed-use developments, or mega projects.
- Strong understanding of design management, project controls, construction management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience managing complex interfaces between multiple contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are preferred.
