Job DescriptionExperian is looking for a strategic Senior Manager of Insider Risk to help lead and expand our global Insider Risk Program within the Cyber Fusion Centre. You will report directly to the Head of Insider Risk Management and manage a team of investigators, overseeing complex security investigations, and enhancing insider risk detection and response capabilities. You will play an important leadership role in developing programmes, driving continuous improvement, and encouraging collaboration.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Insider Risk Management to implement strategic projects and guide program maturity.
- Identify operational improvements, including automation, analytics, and process optimization.
- Oversee and conduct comprehensive insider risk investigations involving data theft, sabotage, espionage, misuse, and workplace violence. Develop investigative strategies, conduct interviews, coordinate with internal partners, and produce objective, well-documented case summaries.
- Analyze data from technical and behavioral sources to detect and respond to insider risk incidents.
- Develop & maintain insider threat indicators and use case scenarios to improve detection accuracy.
- Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team of investigators. Support professional development and foster expertise in insider risk and investigative practices.
- Work closely with partner teams (e.g., HR, Legal, Threat Detection Engineering, etc.) on threat detection and response initiatives to ensure coordinated and effective risk mitigation.
- Create and deliver insider risk awareness content, highlighting emerging trends and fostering a culture of vigilance and shared responsibility. Produce executive-level documentation, including SOPs, playbooks, process
- Experience at management level working in insider risk, counterintelligence, or law enforcement field.
- Experience assessing, responding to, and mitigating threatening or intimidating behavior and violence affecting the workplace.
- Experience with insider threat detection technologies such as SIEM, UBA, UAM, DLP,
- Analytic experience focused on spotting anomalies and patterns, conduct link analysis, and draw relevance to the enterprise.
- Knowledge of frameworks, laws, regulatory requirements, and privacy-related requirements of insider risk programs.
- Knowledge of SOC or Fusion Centre environment methodology to include threat monitoring, intrusion detection, incident response, and analysis.
- Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including types of adversaries, campaigns, and how insider and cyber threats are fueled.
- Process-driven with a focus on automation, and efficiency to improve programs.
- Business-fluent written and spoken English language skills and the ability to tailor communication of technically complex issues to multiple audiences.
- Certifications for example ITPM, GCITP, CISSP, CIFAS
