As a Senior Manager of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, ECIS group, you will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure, applications, and technical processes to deliver excellence. You will broaden your technical and cross-functional skills, collaborate across teams, and play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s technology landscape.
Job responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drive workstreams or projects involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Collaborate with other platforms to architect and implement changes for issue resolution and modernization
- Execute creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting of moderate complexity
- Consider upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advise on mitigation actions
- Drives reuse-first adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment across teams to improve delivery speed and decision quality (e.g., accelerating issue analysis and documentation), with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
- Establishes standards for AI-assisted workflows used in delivery and operational routines, ensuring traceability and auditability and alignment to resiliency, security, and risk expectations.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Strong understanding of multiple infrastructure technologies and protocols including global and local load balancing, DNS, network routing, switching, firewalls, and proxies
- Experience in network engineering (planning, provision), hardware architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), and hardware benchmarking (program management, network management)
- Knowledge of design (compliance, security)
- Experience leading teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment for infrastructure engineering workflows, including validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before adoption, escalate uncertainty appropriately, and ensure outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
- Proficiency in REST/JSON, API implementation, and container-based technologies
- Understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance, and monitoring
- Ability to conceptualize, launch, and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, K8s, GCP, Azure) and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Experience with programmatic methods (scripting – Python, Ansible) for network device interaction, configuration, and lifecycle management
