Compensation:New hires for this position typically start between $128,462 and $171,283 annually, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Senior Manager, Information Technology oversees organization-wide IT operations in partnership with the Vice President of Information Technology, aligning them with Pioneer Human Services’ mission, vision, and IT strategy. The role focuses on modernizing and optimizing technology infrastructure and operations, supporting cloud-based business applications, and improving systems and processes to advance the nonprofit’s objectives, strategy, and growth initiatives. The Senior IT Manager leads, mentors, and collaborates with IT professionals and departments across the organization to ensure technology resources are optimized, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

 

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with Pioneer’s business goals, long-term vision, mission, and values as a member of the broader leadership team.
  • Partners with leadership to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and innovation.
  • Recruits, mentors, and manages IT professionals; fosters a transparent, healthy, and collaborative workplace; and leads effective retention and succession-planning efforts.
  • Provides hands-on oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of Pioneer’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Ensures the availability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure through hands-on support for current operations and future growth.
  • Establishes and enforces robust security protocols to protect the organization’s sensitive data, intellectual property, and customer information.
  • Implements disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate potential IT disruptions.
  • Coordinates the selection, deployment, and maintenance of software applications for aerospace manufacturing, facilities management, operational support, and behavioral health divisions, while serving as Pioneer’s technical lead for project management.
  • Leads the transition from legacy platforms to improve and stabilize business operations and the technology infrastructure.
  • Works with stakeholders to streamline business processes and improve workflow efficiency through technology.
  • Develops and manages IT budgets, allocates resources effectively across projects and operations, and collaborates with technology providers and vendors to analyze utilization and account management.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, and identifies professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure IT operations comply with applicable data privacy and security regulations and industry standards including but not limited to CMMC, ITAR, HIPAA.
  • Monitors emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and lead IT processes and practices with an innovative focus.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive systems administrative experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment as a Systems Engineer or similar infrastructure-supportive discipline
  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in IT leadership and people management roles
  • 5+ years in telecom infrastructure services and support
  • 5+ years leading IT software acquisition, development and support services and projects
  • 5+ years as a software and database architecture expert in complex IT environments
  • 5+ years in current Microsoft software environments and platforms
  • 5+ years in ERP and/or EHR enterprise level systems and support
  • 5+ years in systems integrations, consolidations and mediary development

 

PREFERRED/DESIRABLE

  •  A master's degree

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive systems administration experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment as a Systems Engineer or comparable infrastructure-support discipline

  • At least 5 years of telecommunications infrastructure services and support experience
  • At least 5 years leading IT software acquisition, development, support services, and projects
