We are seeking a high-performing strategy leader to tackle the most important challenges facing our indirect auto financing business. This role blends strategic leadership with analytical depth—ideal for someone who can both shape executive decisions and independently dive into the data. You will collaborate directly with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Analytics (Underwriting / Pricing), and Finance to define business direction, assess new opportunities, support data-driven decision making, and drive growth. The ideal candidate brings a consulting-caliber mindset, strong executive communication, and a bias toward hands-on execution.


 

Outcomes and Activities:

  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine GTM strategies across new products, customer segments, and sales channels. 
  • Lead cross-functional strategic projects that identify growth opportunities and define and shape our Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. 
  • Develop structured problem statements and drive analytical frameworks to evaluate business opportunities and risks. 
  • Build financial and strategic models to evaluate new markets and go-to-market strategies. 
  • Deliver clear, insight-rich recommendations that are data-driven and actionable. 
  • Partner with executive leadership to influence key decisions across sales, marketing, product, promotion, and operations. 
  • Create compelling presentations that effectively communicate analytical findings and complex ideas to executive (C-suite) and cross-functional audiences (VP / Director). 
  • Build business cases to assess strategic options, tradeoffs, and potential impact. 
  • Define KPIs and track performance of implemented strategies to ensure continuous improvement. 
  • Develop insights that shape quarterly and annual strategic planning cycles. 
  • Serve as an internal thought partner and trusted advisor to the executive team. 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Structured thinker with command of strategy frameworks, competitive analysis, and financial modeling. 
  • Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to work independently in various data environments and analytical platforms (SAS, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Excel) to extract, manipulate, and interpret data and drive insights. 
  • Skilled in developing and delivering executive-level dashboards or data visualizations. 
  • Deep understanding of business driver metrics and how to de-average portfolio-level KPIs to understand different types of opportunity segments (competitive, audience behavioral, geographic, product usage, etc.) 
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling—both PPT slide development and verbal delivery. 
  • High comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration. 
  • Strong bias for action and operates with a sense of urgency. 
  • Exceptional business judgment and pragmatic problem-solving. 
  • Proven ability to build relationships, drive alignment, and influence diverse stakeholders in a matrixed, cross-functional environment. 
  • Skilled at translating analysis into business recommendations and prioritizing for impact. 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting firms or internal strategy roles at a high-performance company in the financial services industry. 
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with and influencing senior executives. 
  • Proven ability to independently lead strategy projects from problem definition to solution delivery. 
  • Familiar with developing models and manipulating business data. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree in business, economics, or a quantitative discipline. 
  • Experience in auto finance, fintech, consumer lending, or adjacent sectors. 
  • Prior experience in cross-functional leadership or special projects roles. 
  • Exposure to GTM (segmentation, sales enablement, B2B marketing, channel optimization), growth strategy, pricing or promotion, or operational scaling workstreams. 

Targeted Compensation: $177,382 - $206,926 base salary + an annual bonus plan

This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
