Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Global IT Infrastructure leads multiple IT Infrastructure organizations and is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of ZOLL's Global IT Infrastructure, including on-premise data center, cloud, and hybrid environments. Reporting to the Senior Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations, this role provides senior leadership, defining and driving infrastructure strategy while ensuring execution aligned to enterprise objectives.
The Senior Manager partners with IT and enterprise stakeholders, including executive leadership, to ensure that infrastructure platforms are reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and aligned with ZOLL's mission. This role is accountable for strategic direction, operational excellence, financial management, lifecycle governance, and organizational development within the IT Infrastructure organization, supporting ZOLL's strategic goals for enterprise resilience and modernization.
Essential Functions
Leadership and Strategy
- Help define, evolve and execute the Infrastructure & Operations strategy in alignment with Global IT and enterprise leadership
- Lead multiple IT Infrastructure functions through managers, establishing organizational structure, accountability, and performance outcomes
- Own and drive multi-year infrastructure roadmaps, translating business strategy into technology capabilities as well as investment priorities and skill development
- Foster collaboration across geographically distributed teams, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- o Serve as a trusted and strategic partner to business stakeholders and internal IT teams, influencing technology direction and investment decisions

Operational and Technical Management
- Provide senior leadership with oversight of IT Infrastructure operations including availability, capacity, performance, and security of global systems
- Establish and govern enterprise-wide KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement and operational maturity, tracking KPIs and initiating service improvements based on trends and root-cause analysis
- Help define and execute Global IT Infrastructure business continuity and disaster recovery strategy, including executive reporting and risk alignment
- Partner with Security and Architecture teams to ensure processes, governance, and solutions comply with enterprise security and risk standards, supporting frameworks like ITIL, HIPAA, or ISO27001
- Own and manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery to optimize quality and cost effectiveness
- Financial and Resource Management
- Manage infrastructure budgets, including forecasting and cost optimization
- Drive cloud financial management (FinOps) and data center cost efficiency initiatives
- Evaluate and prioritize capital and operational investments based on business value and ROI
- Align resources across teams and initiatives to support strategic objectives
- Modernization and Continuous Improvement
- Lead IT Infrastructure wide transformation aligning technology capabilities with business strategy to provide a resilient, automated, and cost efficient infrastructure that supports mission critical operations
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce technical debt, streamline operations, and optimize cloud and data-center costs
- Define adoption strategies for emerging technologies aligned with enterprise and infrastructure architecture and long-term business value
- Collaborate with peers to advance platform engineering practices and enable secure, scalable infrastructure services
- People Management and Development
- Lead, mentor and develop managers, supervisors, and senior technical leaders building a strong leadership pipeline
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, and performance reviews; promote professional development and succession readiness
- Design and evolve organizational structure, ensuring scalability and leadership development

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required required
- 10+ years experience in an enterprise IT environment required required
- 4-6 years experience leading managers or multiple teams in an enterprise environment required
- 4-6 years proven experience managing enterprise-scale infrastructure across hybrid environments required
- 1-3 years Demonstrated success implementing governance, lifecycle management, and service improvement frameworks required
- 1-3 years Strong technical foundation in one or more areas:
§ Networking, compute, virtualization, storage
§ Cloud platforms
§ Operating system life-cycle management
§ Automation, backup, databases, monitoring, PKI required - 1-3 years Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Infrastructure teams, IT Security, Architecture, and Application teams preferred
