As Sr. Manager, Global Indirect Taxes, you'll participate in successfully rolling-out the global strategy, guidelines, and policies of the Indirect Tax Function specially, with regards to compliance and core finance processes, advice, management of risks and opportunities, issue resolution and audits.

Also responsible for assisting the Group Head of Indirect Taxes in successfully contributing to set and maintaining standard / global indirect tax aspects in SAP and related systems (e.g. SAP Ariba, Coupa, Concur, Blackline, etc.) also, to identifying and deploying Tax Technology solutions (e.g. tax engine, e-invoicing, real time reporting, etc.).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Effective partnering with tier 2 stakeholders (e.g. FRA, IT, procurement, and Tax) at the global, regional, and local level to ensure high quality, timely and compliant Indirect Tax services.
• Assisting in rolling-out the global strategy, guidelines, and policies of the Indirect Tax Function specially, with regards to compliance and core finance processes, advice, management of risks and opportunities, issue resolution and audits.
• Overviewing the adequacy and execution of Indirect Tax processes globally, setting direction and acting as the overall subject matter expert for tax compliance, advice, risk management, issue resolution and audit management.
• Participate in tax system design (e.g. SAP, Concur, SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc.), maintenance, and implementation to ensure compliance, enhance efficiency, and minimize expense.
• Monitor changes to rules and regulations to assist defining the guidelines and policies working in close collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Assist on all efforts to ensure an effective and aligned Indirect Tax control framework is established and rolled-out across the Sandoz organization, controls are executed, and issues and audit points are monitored, and action plans established.
• Advice global functions such as M&A, BD&L, STO, Development or any concerned function on Indirect Tax related questions and formalities affecting strategic projects, supply chain, audits, litigations.

• Participate in the preparation and development of a global Indirect Tax training that will secure an Indirect Tax “sensitization” of business process.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Master degree in economics, accounting, law or similar major preferably with additional qualifications (certified tax advisor or chartered accountant).
• Fluent in English
• 10 years successful career combining indirect tax positions at a Big 4 firm or comparable reputable firm and in-house (preferably pharmaceutical industry) at a management role.
• Specifically, proven experience is required in Indirect tax compliance and advisory (specially on supply chain matters).

• Strong expertise in ERP (SAP): Tax code and indirect tax reports (including intrastat), tax determination by MWST and WIA conditions, OBCD tables or purchase tax determination, plants abroad and general indirect tax set-up in the FI, SD and MM modules.
