As the Senior Manager Global Events, you will lead as the strategic orchestrator for our global events that drive business growth and stakeholder engagement. You will not just "run events" but create experiences that connect human-centric design with data-driven business results. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Drive the high-level strategy for the AppWorld portfolio, directing the flagship NAMER event while consulting and supporting as needed on the 8 regional events. 

Manage a diversified portfolio of curated experiences for high impact Security events such as RSAC, Black Hat and Gartner, Alliances events such as Google Next, Nvidia GTC and many others as well as playing a strategic role in our AI events.  

Define our presence, building the playbooks and audience journeys, overseeing the budgets and agencies, and ensuring that our various events work together as a cohesive system rather than standalone occurrences.  

 

A strong collaborator, you will work closely with our Creative, Field and Marketing teams to define and deliver exceptional events. 

 

Team leadership and Development 

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of professional event leaders, strategically matching talent to events to ensure high-impact execution 

  • Define clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations  

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability and continuous improvement  

  • Build capabilities across the team for performance optimization  

 

Strategy and Execution 

  • Strategic Framework Ownership: Develop and evolve a comprehensive event roadmap that aligns with F5 priorities and the broader revenue marketing strategy. 

  • Collaboratewithleadership to define and execute the short- and long-term strategic vision for the global events program including executive engagement and meetings for sales and field teams. 

 

Performance Tracking & Optimization 

  • Outcome-Driven Design: Define the purpose, audience focus, and success measures (KPIs) such asEvent ROI,Pipeline Influenced. 

  • Measurement & Insights: Define, track and communicate outcomes and results in a timely manner.

 

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the "conductor" across cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance) to ensure all departments are unified and informed behind all the event goals. 

  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Serving as the central point of contact to synchronize planning, facilitate sign-offs, and maintain organizational alignment, in conjunction with the Senior Director. 

 

Process, Systems & Scale 

 

Build and optimize scalable processes for:  

  • Campaign executionand playbook workflows  

  • Reporting and performance tracking  

  • Leveraging effective use of marketing automation and CRM systems  

  • Identifying and addressing bottlenecks in event processes 

  • Understanding best practices and implementing new ideas  

 

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field  

  • 10+ years of B2B event marketing experience, preferably in technology organizations 

  • Skilled in optimizing event-driven demand generation and lead management workflows 

  • Experience managing and developing teams in a fast paced, high-volume environment  

  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations  

  • Experience supporting multi-region campaign execution  

  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Allocadia, Cvent and CRM systems (Salesforce)

The annual base pay for this position is: $153,600.00 - $230,400.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
