Job Description

The Senior Manager, Project Management, position within the Global Commercial Project Management will support the organization in management of early Commercialization Teams (eCTs), Commercialization Teams (CTs), lead strategic execution, project management, and governance, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and operational execution of eCT/CTs. The Commercialization Teams are responsible for providing commercialization strategy input and decisions in alignment with the overall program strategy. The candidate will be primarily focus on Gilead’s programs in Liver, Inflammation space, and may include other therapeutic areas.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, with excellent project management capabilities and track record, highly organized, with strong attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the proven ability to effectively manage complex projects and workstreams; effectively network across the organization and communicate with senior leaders, in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This role includes feasibility and risk analysis, managing resources and budgets, and regular reporting.
 

Foster City Office based position.

Core Responsibilities

• Project and program management of Gilead early Commercialization Teams & Commercialization Teams, primarily in Liver and Inflammation therapy areas
• Develop and maintain detailed work plans on key initiatives which include identification of project tasks, clear milestones, and assignments of work project responsibilities, schedules, resources, budget, and status reports.
• Partner with head of GCSO project management to identify areas for process efficiency across eCTs, CTs, and initiatives.
   

Basic Qualifications: 

• High School Degree and Twelve Year's Experience 

OR

• Associates Degree and Ten Years Experience

OR

• Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years’ Experience

OR

• Masters' Degree and Six Years’ Experience

OR

• 0+ Years’ Experience with PharmD/PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong project management skills, including attention to detail and organization skills
• Highly resourceful and strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence and operational rigor
• Demonstrated consistent cross-functional collaborator, and business partner, directly contributing to teams to achieve overall objectives
• Strong communication skills across functions and leadership teams; comfort in business and technical discussions. Able to influence without direct authority.
• International work experience and experience working with global markets preferred
• Experience driving large initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research / analysis to building the business and operational plans through to driving execution to success is required.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment
• No or limited travel

The salary range for this position is: $169,320.00 - $219,120.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
