Senior Manager of FP&A

Impact
The Senior Manager of FP&A will hold a high-profile role in building the FalconX FP&A function that meets both the demands of a complex and evolving tax landscape and those of a fast-paced, growing company. You will provide critical cross-functional leadership, driving forward the financial objectives of the organization. As a member of the broader FalconX finance team, you will join a group that is passionate about teamwork, finance, and crypto. We are looking for an FP&A Senior Manager who shares that same passion and level of excitement to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Drive FP&A Processes: Take a hands-on approach and lead the company-wide financial planning process, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that guide critical business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Manage the development, maintenance, and delivery of standard management financial reporting to communicate financial performance and facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Performance Insights: Deliver timely and actionable financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform business leaders and influence performance.
- Process & Technology Optimization: Drive continuous improvements in FP&A processes and technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency, leveraging automation and financial tools to support the company’s growth.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a focus on continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or a relevant field (Master's or MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Experience in high-velocity public and/or VC/PE-backed companies
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (including advanced formulas, scenario analysis, and pivot tables)
- Prior experience with both FP&A and ERP software
- Demonstrated understanding of FP&A principles and methodologies, and proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling techniques
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills utilizing data, metrics, and financial modeling and analysis to solve complex, multivariable problems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to delve into details, step back, and assess if the output makes sense
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaborator with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams
- Experience driving initiatives to identify areas for process improvement and deliver results
- Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for building from the ground up, with a willingness to take a hands-on approach and get involved in all aspects of the job
- Passion for crypto and web3, demonstrated through personal or professional experience and regular consumption of industry news and developments
Compensation
Base pay for this role is expected to be between $176,000 - $286,000 USD for New York City and San Francisco Bay Area. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as location, skillset, experience, and qualifications.
