Job Description

Equinox is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Strategic Finance team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted financial thought partner to senior business leaders, own the Company’s planning and forecasting processes, and drive high-impact analyses that directly shape strategic and capital allocation decisions across our portfolio of brands.

The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical foundation, sharp business instincts, and the presence to influence senior stakeholders. This is a high-ownership role with direct exposure to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to meaningfully shape how the business is run. This role reports to the Vice President of Finance and is based at our headquarters in Hudson Yards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and continuously evolve the Company’s long-range financial plan (LRP), with full 3-statement visibility at both business unit and consolidated levels; deliver regular variance analysis and executive-ready reporting
  • Lead monthly and ad hoc financial performance analysis versus plan, identifying key business drivers and trends; champion forecasting best practices across the FP&A function
  • Serve as a strategic Finance Business Partner to senior business leaders and P&L owners, translating granular operational drivers into financial insight and forward-looking recommendations that influence decisions
  • Own the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting cycles, partnering cross-functionally to develop revenue and expense assumptions grounded in business reality
  • Lead ad hoc strategic analyses and financial modeling across the portfolio, including unit economics, ROIC, scenario planning, and investment case development
  • Own the development of board, investor, and senior leadership materials - synthesizing complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives
  • Identify and lead process and systems improvements across the FP&A function, including EPM/OneStream optimization and reporting automation
  • Directly manage one Analyst-level direct report, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance feedback; model high standards for analytical rigor and strategic business partnership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting a must
  • 7+ years in corporate finance or FP&A at a high-performing, private-equity backed company, or 3+ years in investment banking or private equity; consumer, retail, luxury, or hospitality industry experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and financial modeling expertise; demonstrated ability to build complex, dynamic models from scratch
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives and actionable recommendations
  • Highly self-directed; able to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously and operate with urgency in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment
  • Rigorous and results-oriented, with an exceptionally high bar for accuracy and output quality
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; able to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with OneStream or comparable EPM/BI platforms preferred
  • Prior people management experience preferred; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus

Pay transparency:  $150k - $160k
