The Senior FP&A Manager will lead the FP&A team in Japan, acting as a strategic partner to the Senior Director, Finance and supporting decisions from the Japan President and leadership team. This role serves as the primary liaison (“window person”) between Japan and the APAC FP&A team, ensuring alignment on regional priorities. The position will also coordinate across Finance Business Partners in Japan to drive continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and insights.
The FP&A team supports back-office functions as business partners, and the Senior FP&A Manager will directly partner with Operations and Regulatory Affairs to enable informed decision-making.
The role supervises 2 members in FP&A team.
Strategic Partnership & Leadership Support: Provide actionable insights for leadership decisions; support Japan President and leadership team with analysis and recommendations.
Regional & Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the key contact for APAC FP&A; collaborate with Finance Business Partners to harmonize processes and drive efficiency.
Performance Management & Insights: Identify performance drivers; develop frameworks for tracking key metrics and KPIs; deliver clear, data-driven insights.
Planning & Forecasting: Lead annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning; maintain robust financial models for scenario analysis.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Produce accurate and timely reports; champion process automation and best practices.
Business Partnering: Provide financial support to back-office functions, including Operations and Regulatory Affairs; evaluate initiatives and optimize costs.

Qualification:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or related finance roles, including leadership experience.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency in ERP and planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; English and Japanese fluency are must
- Ability to influence across functions and regions in a matrix organization.
