Job Description
As the Sr. Manager of Firmware and Software Development you will be focused on maintaining a highly capable team of firmware and software developers according to the annual operating plan. You will successfully onboard new employees to variable frequency drive development as well as software solutions that allow drive commissioning. You will be an advocate of operating teams in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) Framework and continuously seeks to improve existing processes towards more effective and efficient execution.
As the Senior Manager you will provide technical leadership for motor control, embedded software development, desktop software solutions, web/cloud-based development, and mobile app construction. Aside from leading cutting-edge development, you are expected to influence technical roadmap development via influence. While doing so, you will foster a culture of belonging and innovation.
Aside from developing successful teams and rewarding careers for employees, you will support process transformation to deliver firmware/software effectively and efficiently.
You will report to the Manager of Mequon's Power Control Business.
The Essentials- What You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Willingness to travel domestically and globally for up to 10% of their time
The Preferred- You May Also Have:
- Bachelor of Science. Preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Typically requires at least five years of experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Track record of leading highly technical teams with increasing responsibility over time.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Experience in developing products according to IEC 61508 and IEC 62443
- Proficiency in developing embedded software solutions using Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Knowledgeable in motor control algorithms
- Process oriented in establishing bi-directional traceability between requirements, implementation and test
- Experience in developing .Net, WPF, Angular and iOS/Android solutions.
- Experience with generative artificial intelligence methods, edge and cloud based solutions
