WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, assist with external audits, and implement best practices in financial disclosure. You have a strong background in GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting (if applicable), and financial analysis.



WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Report Development: Design, build, test, and maintain custom Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and standard Workday reports using calculated fields and Business Objects.
  • System Maintenance & Upgrades: Test, review, and update existing reports during Workday's bi-annual releases to maintain functionality.
  • Dashboard Creation: Design and manage operational dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Report-as-a-Service (RaaS) outputs, partnering with the Financial Analyst, to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for leadership.
  • Prepare and update financial statement templates.
  • Oversee internal financial reporting processes and implement controls to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather report parameters.
  • Lead process improvements in financial reporting systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, business, or a related field, providing the technical foundation for Workday reporting responsibilities. MBA or CPA is valued.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and/or auditing roles.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience building reports in Workday Report Writer including calculated fields and advanced, matrix, and composite reports.
  • Workday Report Writer Certification or be willing and able to successfully complete a Workday Report Writing proficiency assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Deep understanding of Workday Finance.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning experience including Adaptive Dashboards, HTML Reports, and OfficeConnect reporting packages highly preferred.
  • Experience with Workday Dashboards, Scorecards, and Workday Hubs preferred.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into reporting solutions, with working knowledge of data integration/ETL concepts and reporting governance practices.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Non-profit experience highly preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

 

The starting salary for this position is $108,900 to $122,000 per year, benchmarked against industry standards. Salaries for positions required to be in specific geographic locations reflect the corresponding labor market. 
 
The actual offer extended will depend on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and the role's requirements. Positions working 20+ hours per week also receive our comprehensive benefits package (with medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k match, generous paid time off, and more).
