Hybrid: 2-3 Days On-Site Per Week Minimum
Position Summary:This role is a Leadership role within the Macroom (Cork) Finance Team and will be responsible for managing and driving the Finance group on site to excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily support and management of the Finance group, and for ensuring the timely provision of Finance support to the Operations Lead, local site leadership team and the (Sr.) Director Finance to allow for effective planning and control of the business. The candidate will also be responsible for adherence to annual Compliance calendar and partner with internal and external auditors. Areas of Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Operations (Sr.) Director to manage the financial result for the plant.
- Manage the local Management Accounting team including recruitment, training and development and performance management. Keep good working connection with Shared Service Centers as well.
- Member of the Site Leadership team that sets the strategic direction for the site
- Oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the facility within the timelines set out and provide financial commentary and management of inventory on the same.
- Provide weekly financial updates to the Site Operations (Sr.) Director, and the (Sr.) Director Finance
- Provide financial inputs at the monthly business unit reviews.
- Responsible for the preparation of the site’s annual budget
- Responsible for the setting of the annual standard costs
- Responsible for the distribution of the annual transfer pricing files to customers.
- Responsible for the preparation of the site's financial outlooks throughout the year and provide the Operations Director and the (Senior) Director Finance with a financial commentary on the associated risks and opportunities.
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual capital budget and ongoing capital spend projections throughout the year.
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual strategic plan for the site
- Provide financial support to the local team leaders in the preparation of CER’s (investments) for the facility. Review such CER’s from a financial and commercial perspective.
- Responsible to prepare and lead the local teams through internal and external audits. This includes adherence to annual Compliance calendar.
- Work closely with financial accounting team in Limerick to ensure that the financial accounts and the payroll are prepared within the set timelines.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives.
- Part of the Campus Finance Leadership team that sets the strategy for Finance in Ireland
- Drive process changes in the Finance area to ensure the provision of information to key business owners is more efficient
- All other duties as assigned
- A Degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline is required. Hold a recognized professional accounting qualification.
- 5-7 years experience in a Finance position (preferably supporting a high performance manufacturing operation) is required. Ideally the person has team management experience already.
- The successful candidate will be customer focused and act as a liaison between Finance and Operations
- Be commercially aware and enjoy interacting with cross functional teams across the organization
- High level of PC skills required. The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint packages and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of flexibility with a high level commitment to success.
