We are now recruiting for a Senior Manager of Finance to join our Revenue team. The Revenue team is responsible for the revenue recognition for ICON, a key KPI for both Senior leadership and the external market. This role involves ownership of accurate delivery of group and divisional revenue recognition to support senior management in operational and commercial decision making.
People Leadership
- Lead revenue team with high quality delivery and focus on centre of excellence
- Hiring of new talent and developing existing team
- Embed and develop Own It @ ICON Culture and the ICON four Values
Financial Ownership
- Delivery of accurate monthly and quarterly revenue recognition (ASC606) and reporting close process in line with strict deadlines ensuring integrity and accuracy of the information reported
- Delivery of all required audit (both internal and external) documentation and ensuring full and effective compliance with SoX requirements
- Responsible for the maintenance of standardised global processes to recognise revenue in accordance with latest US GAAP & SEC requirements
- Ensure that relevant accounting policies and procedures are documented, understood and reviewed/updated as necessary
- Lead, motivate and develop the revenue recognition team with a strong focus on coaching and recognizing opportunities for development to achieve KPIs
- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, energy, responsiveness, decision-making, and effectiveness.
- Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations and participate in various process improvement initiatives
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- As a member of the team, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
Educational Requirements:
- Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland)
- 5+ years of Post Qualification Experience
Experience, Skills & Knowledge Requirement:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing medium to large teams
- Excellent financial acumen with ability to interpret large volume of data
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and influencing skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with an absolute commitment to accuracy
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
- Prior experience in Oracle Financial systems, Hyperion, Alteryx, Power BI, Excel Macro etc. is an advantage.
