This is a hybrid role working 2 days onsite at the corporate office in Cary, NC
The Senior Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the financial operations of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations for Shelter Solutions. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and accounting, along with a proven track record in working in a matrix environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making. The role is a leadership position which supports and partners with the SVP Supply Chain & Operations for Shelter Solutions and reporting directly to the Director, Finance for Shelter Solutions. The Senior Finance Manager will have P&L, Balance Sheet and Working Capital responsibility for the Shetler Solutions operations
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the development and execution of annual financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Provide regular financial reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders
Cost Control and Optimization:
- Oversee cost accounting activities, analyzing production costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with the operations team to streamline processes and improve overall cost efficiency
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Work with auditors during the annual audit process
Capital Expenditure Management:
- Assess capital investment proposals, conduct financial analysis, and provide recommendations to support capital allocation decisions
- Monitor the implementation of approved projects and track their financial impact
Working Capital & Transportation:
- Manage working capital investments, analyze on a dollar and usage basis the optimal investments
- Drives productivity in transportation through network optimization analyses
- Integral thought leader in the S&OP process aligning demand, inventory position, transportation expense, and manufacturing conversion costs to delver premier service at optimized cost levels
- Develop creative solutions to complex issues. Think strategically to help define the answers to the changes within the organization
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Collaborate with the executive team in developing long-term financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required, graduate degree or MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive finance experience in the manufacturing industry or similar industry
- Solid technical skills with a wide range of financial experience and understanding with the ability to automate and streamline financial information
- Exhibits strong time management skills; able to work through roadblocks to meet commitments timely
- Experienced, high integrity, flexible leader with the ability to effectively collaborate with others within and outside the organization
- Action-oriented professional with a take-charge, can-do attitude
- High-level knowledge of financial reporting concepts processes required
- Business financial management experience, preferably in manufacturing or product-driven organizations. Proficiency in financial modeling and ERP systems
- Mergers, acquisition, and divestiture modeling experience preferred
