About Redwood Materials
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Manager over Business Processes and Finance Systems to support the optimization of financial operations through robust business processes, effective internal controls, and successful system implementations. This role will serve as a bridge between the Finance and IT departments, ensuring technology solutions align with business needs, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities Will Include:- Process Improvement & Documentation
- Analyze current financial workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to gather business requirements and map current vs. future state processes.
- Internal Controls
- Evaluate and enhance, or in some cases develop, internal control frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend enhancements as needed.
- Systems Support & Implementation
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to support the selection, implementation, and integration of financial systems.
- Assist with requirements gathering, UAT, data migration, and training during system rollouts.
- Act as a liaison between end-users and technical teams to troubleshoot issues and provide continuous support.
- Project Management
- Support finance-related projects by tracking milestones, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
- Prepare business cases, impact assessments, and risk analysis for proposed changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related
- A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, Oracle Cloud Certification) is a
- 7-10 years experience in finance operations, internal controls, and system implementations (preferably Oracle Cloud Fusion)
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including US GAAP, and it’s application within Oracle Cloud Fusion.
- Strong understanding of financial processes (e.g. Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report).
- Experience with internal control frameworks and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex accounting concepts to non-accounting colleagues.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
