The Senior Manager, Federal Government Relations reports to the Director, Federal Government Relations and executes federal advocacy strategies to advance Cardinal Health’s business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with congressional offices, committees, and relevant stakeholders to monitor policy developments and support advocacy efforts that align with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate proposed federal legislation and regulations, assess the impact on Cardinal Health and its stakeholders, and develop recommendations and solutions. Track relevant congressional committees, federal agencies, and policy initiatives.
- Represent Cardinal Health in key trade associations, coalitions, and industry working groups, influencing policy positions and coordinating advocacy strategies that support the company’s priorities.
- Develop policy analyses, talking points, comment letters, and congressional briefing materials to support leadership engagement and advocacy efforts.
- Assist in planning and executing executive engagement opportunities with elected officials and government stakeholders.
- Support the company’s political engagement activities, including PAC events and relationship-building initiatives with policymakers.
- This position is located in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in federal government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Recent Capitol Hill or administration experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with healthcare, trade, or supply chain legislative and regulatory issues, as well as applicable governmental agencies and congressional committees.
- Fluency with political and legislative processes.

Anticipated salary range: $131,100 - $168,500
