The Senior Manager – Executive Strategy & Presentation, US Compliance Operations serves as a key partner to the Head of Business Management, Training and Strategy and provides direct day-to-day support to the US Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). This role is critical to executing strategic, operational, governance, and regulatory priorities across US Compliance and the broader enterprise.

The position leads strategic prioritization, operational management, executive and Board-level reporting, regulatory preparedness, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will translate executive objectives, regulatory expectations, and complex operational inputs into structured plans, actionable insights, and high-quality deliverables that support informed decision-making and drive execution.

Advanced PowerPoint expertise is a core requirement. The role is responsible for developing and refining executive-level presentations for regulators, the Board of Directors, and senior leadership, translating complex regulatory, risk, and operational topics into concise, accurate, and visually polished materials.

This role requires strong judgment, exceptional attention to detail, executive presence, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly scrutinized regulatory environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can connect the dots, bring structure to ambiguity, synthesize complex information, and drive consistency and operational excellence across US Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Business Management and US CCO in advancing strategic priorities, leadership commitments, operational execution, and regulatory initiatives through effective planning, reporting, and coordination.

  • Lead the Strategic Prioritization process for US Compliance, including development and tracking of strategic plans, alignment to Compliance and enterprise objectives, and identification of organizational strengths, opportunities, and emerging priorities.

  • Develop, refine, and maintain executive-level PowerPoint presentations and materials for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, regulators, governance forums, and other key stakeholders.

  • Translate complex regulatory, risk, operational, and business information from multiple sources into clear insights, executive messaging, presentations, and decision-support materials.

  • Prepare and coordinate materials for senior leadership meetings, governance forums, regulatory exams, and other executive engagements, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment of messaging.

  • Establish and maintain effective management routines, tracking mechanisms, dashboards, and leadership reporting to monitor strategic priorities, commitments, and execution.

  • Partner across lines of business and corporate functions to understand critical issues, coordinate high-priority initiatives, and drive timely execution of strategic and regulatory priorities.

  • Apply broad business and regulatory knowledge to provide meaningful insights, identify potential risks and opportunities, and support effective decision-making.

  • Lead or contribute to complex, enterprise-impacting initiatives requiring integration of cross-functional processes, multiple stakeholder perspectives, and specialized subject matter expertise.

  • Build strong relationships with senior and executive stakeholders and foster effective cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency, consistency, and operational effectiveness.

  • Balance longer-term strategic planning with near-term, time-sensitive, and ad hoc priorities in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager – Executive Strategy & Presentation leads a significant business management function and/or strategy planning, oversight, control or governance activities for highly complex / high risk / transformational (change the bank) / strategic initiatives, liaises across the organization and primarily interfaces with executive and/or functional stakeholders.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required

  • Responsible for the timely execution of the Compliance testing plan

  • Typically deals with senior/executive management in communicating Compliance testing results

  • Leverages deep industry, external/internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management/enterprise areas through testing engagements

  • Provides guidance and clarity around priorities and goals for Compliance testing program and works with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all workers

  • Guides talent identification and development processes

  • Key contact for dealing with a range of complex issues, including non-routine information

  • Manages and prioritizes the team to deliver on multiple reviews and projects at a given time

  • Identifies and leads problem resolution for project/program complex requirements related issues at all levels

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with demonstrated ability to create polished, executive-ready presentations and effectively communicate complex information visually.

  • Experience developing executive-level presentations; experience supporting Board and/or regulatory presentations.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior or executive leadership in business management, strategy, operations, or similar capacity.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to synthesize complex, multi-source information into clear, concise executive insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence and judgment to interact effectively with senior and executive stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, establish structure in ambiguous situations, and independently drive initiatives to completion.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance environments, with the ability to translate regulatory expectations into actionable business priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities to drive consistency and effective execution.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables in a highly regulated and scrutinized environment.

  • Management consulting experience a plus.

Customer Accountabilities:

  • Manages teams of compliance testing specialists and/or managers in the execution of Compliance Testing engagements and validation of action plans in accordance with established standards

  • Conducts skilled analytical research and analysis as part of the testing engagement and initiatives

  • Develops, implements, tracks, and reports on Compliance testing schedules

  • Provides overall strategic direction to support the Compliance Testing Program, Procedures, and processes so that they stay current with established standards and regulatory expectations

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor by providing guidance on Compliance issues to management, business units, and respective teams for area of specialization

  • Reports on emerging trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending action to senior management

  • Understands risk identification, risk analysis, and risk mitigation according to the regulatory requirements and best business practices

  • Supports relationships with key partners to effectively manage and clarify scope of accountabilities while influencing and aligning others as needed

  • Provides functional/business level communications to stakeholders and/or leaders that are consistent, appropriate, and aligned with strategic direction

  • Works closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverages TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scale
