About your team
Global ETFs is a strategic priority for the firm as we look to evolve our product offering and capabilities to meet the changing needs of our clients. With c.$16.6bn UCITS ETF AUM and a real focus on strategies which embed Fidelity’s research to deploy in active ETF format.
ETFs are a significant area of investment for the firm and the platform will allow us to better serve our clients by offering new capabilities and efficient access to existing capabilities. We have created a specialist ETF team that works closely with existing Fidelity distribution& investment teams. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the development of a high-profile business whilst having the resources and financial backing of a large, established asset manager.
About your role
The ETF Product Developer, Senior Manager, will be responsible for creating and executing the product strategy for the ETF business. The successful candidate will lead process and infrastructure initiatives required to launch and support ETFs across multiple asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the ETF product strategy for Fidelity’s European domiciled ETF business by understanding Fidelity’s investment capabilities, analysing the UCITS market and demand expectations from distribution teams and clients and translating to product road maps. Build business cases to support product launches
- Execute and implement the ETF Product Strategy from concept to launch by taking ownership and coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Gain approval for new products from internal committees and fund board.
- Assess alternative product structures and determine the most effective implementation for a particular product within regulatory and internal guidelines, mitigating product and structure’s risks
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify, document and implement processes required to support new products.
- Lead the product management of the existing ETF range in relation to changes in business strategy, regulatory environment and technology
- Provide internal and external training to support new product launches.
About you
- Solid experience working within an ETF product development and/or structuring role.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
- Understanding of UCITS ETF framework, landscape and associated regulatory and operational requirements.
- Knowledge of financial tools such as Morningstar and Bloomberg.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and challenge opinions across a broad range of internal stakeholders.
- A natural self-starter with the commitment and desire to develop a new business.
- A team player, who will be able to work within FIL’s overall culture and fit with its entrepreneurial but collaborative style.
