The Data Governance will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework across multiple business units. This role ensures consistency, compliance, and quality in data management practices, enabling the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Governance Framework: Design and roll out policies, standards, and procedures for data governance across diverse business units.
Standardization: Define and enforce common data standards, taxonomies, and hierarchies across disparate systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Data Mapping & Migration: Oversee mapping strategies, data cleansing, and migration processes to align legacy and current ERP data with governance frameworks.
ERP Harmonization: Lead initiatives to consolidate and transform data from multiple ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, and other platforms) into a unified governance model.
Metadata & Master Data Management: Oversee data cataloging, lineage, and master data processes using tools such as Oracle DRM/EDM and SAP modules.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, IT, Operations, and other business units to align governance practices and ensure adherence.
Data Quality & Compliance: Monitor data integrity, enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, and implement remediation plans where necessary.
Training & Change Management: Lead training sessions for stakeholders on governance principles and tools; drive cultural adoption of data governance.
Technology Enablement: Utilize platforms like Oracle EPM, Hyperion, and Microsoft Power BI to support governance initiatives and reporting.
Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure governance effectiveness and report progress to leadership. Data Integration & Transformation
Technology Enablement: Collaborate with IT and business units to leverage integration tools and automation for seamless data transformation.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with data inconsistencies during ERP consolidation and governance implementation.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration).
Demonstrated capability and experience delivering and driving data initiatives.
Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and management principles.
10 years of experience in delivering enterprise-wide data strategies preferably in a complex and federated business environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence and engage other technologists and business leaders to a common direction and a consistent data architecture.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills to identify and address data-related challenges and opportunities.
Proven experience in data governance, master data management, or finance systems management.
Strong knowledge of Oracle EPM Suite, Data Relationship Management (DRM), Enterprise Data Management (EDM), and SAP FI/CO modules.
Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator) and business intelligence platforms (Power BI).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to work across multiple business units.
Ability to lead projects, develop documentation, and conduct training sessions.
Understanding of compliance frameworks and data quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in finance transformation projects and system governance processes.
Background in project management and cross-functional leadership.
Knowledge of AI/bot design for automation in data processes.
